Principal’s Report
Congratulations to all our children who are working so hard for all
their teachers throughout all the changes each day. I am so very
proud of the way that the children are working and their focus on
quality, respect and responsibility. Well done, everyone!
A number of children have been absent due to illness so far this
term, please make sure that a note is sent to the teacher, with an
explanation for absence, when your child returns. Alternatively
you can either:
• Complete an absent form using our school app; or
• Respond to the SMS alert with the reason for absence (this will rule out the requirement to send a note or app notification).
Sporting Superstars!
Well done to all of our amazingly sporty students who represent
our school so well and with great sportsmanship in a range of

Principal’s Report
Electronic Media Policy and Contract
Most parents have returned the signed contract demonstrating
their and their children’s understanding with the use of school
media equipment, mobile phone and electronic games. I
appreciate your support in this matter; unfortunately a few chil-
dren have taken to bringing mobile phones, iPods and other
games to school without leaving them in the front office at the
beginning of the day. I remind those students failing to hand in
their electronic equipment will result in it being confiscated and
collected by a parent.
Resource Packs
Most parents have already purchased their child’s book pack,
many have opted for a payment plan. Thank you for assisting
your child and teacher in program delivery. If you still haven’t
purchased your child’s book pack or may have forgotten to send
the money to school we need your assistance in finalising this
process as soon as possible so that programs can go ahead.
Come and see me if you need help with the cost.
Band
The school concert band program has begun and it is delightful
to see so many smiling and excited students. It’s time to finalise
band fees so that Mr Isaacs can be paid. Thank you Miss
Donadson for your time and efforts organizing this great
opportunity for our students! Children (Years 3-6) can still join the
band at any time throughout the year.
Maths Camp
Congratulations to our super mathematicians: Hamish, Coco,
Henry, Kynan, Julian and Bobby! Last weekend they enjoyed a
maths camp at Myuna Bay thanks to their outstanding
achievement of High Distinctions in the 2018 Newcastle
Permanent Maths competition. Well done, everyone!
