TICKET SALES INFORMATION February 28, 2014

Dear Mountain View Families:

Mountain View Families are the BEST! I would like to thank all of the families who have helped

build our beautiful baskets. I am proud to say that we have a grand total 19 impressive Gift Baskets

as well as a Painting to raffle off this year. You will get a chance to view all the baskets next week

as they are all displayed in the front lobby of the school. Please see the order form on the reverse

side for a list of the Gift Baskets assembled by each class. I have also attached descriptions of each

of the baskets to help you decide on what you want try to win. For your convenience, Mountain

View’s computer department will be posting photos and descriptions of each basket on the school’s

website.

Raffle tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 3, 2014. The PTA is selling the tickets for

$1.00 each or $10.00 for 12 tickets. We have two convenient ways to purchase your

tickets:

1. Use the attached order form. Mark the number of tickets you would like to buy for each

basket, complete your name, phone #, your child’s teacher and amount enclosed. Send your

order form to school with your student in the envelope provided along with cash or check

made out to the Mountain View PTA. We will process your order, enter your raffle tickets in

the basket(s) of your choice and return your ticket stubs to you.

2. The PTA will sell raffle tickets in the MTV lobby from Monday, March 3, 2014 thru

Friday, March 7, 2014. Ticket sales will be available each morning next week from

7:30am – 7:50am. Tickets will also be sold at the PTA Family Bingo Night on Friday

evening, March 7, 2014 beginning at 6:15 pm and ending at 7:00pm sharp. You or your

student can purchase tickets, write name and phone # on the back and put tickets in the

basket(s) of choice. Hold on to the ticket stubs. FINAL CHANCE TO PURCHASE

TICKETS IS AT THE BEGINNING OF BINGO NIGHT!!

Winning names will be drawn and announced at the end of PTA Family Bingo Night on

Friday, March 7, 2014. 1 winning ticket will be drawn for each basket before the end of Bingo

Night. All winners will be announced at the end of the evening. Please note: Bingo Night is an

awesome family event…but you do not need to be present to win a basket. If you win a basket, but

are not in attendance, we will call you to arrange pick up.

Horse Crazy! -- Ms. Boddicker AM/PM All horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a child. Express your love with this basket overflowing with all kinds of Horse Crazy items! Basket Full of Strikes and Spares -- Mrs. Roth (1st grade) What does it take to bowl a perfect game? Practice, Patience, Luck and this bountiful basket presented my Mrs. Roth’s class. It’s a fun time out in the Village at Leesburg! Start with bowling with your very own kid’s bowling ball with matching bag. Add a gift card to Kingpinz Bowling with 2 lanes for up to 10 people for one hour plus a gift card for additional bowling and /or arcade games. Then enjoy food and fun with your family and friends with gift cards to both BurgerFi and PinkBerry. Still want to practice? Enjoy a bowling ball and pins set at home so you too can bowl 300!

Rainy Day Out Basket -- Mrs. Barbara (2nd grade) Rain, Rain go away! Maybe this year is should be snow, now… In any case, you won’t want it to stop raining when you splash into this basket full of gift cards for really fun things to do on a rainy day! Roll away the day at the Purcellville Roller Skating Rink. Too wet outside to swim? Not when you are enjoying the diving board at the Ida Lee Park indoor swimming pool. Bounce away your cares as you burn off energy (and save your Mom’s couch) at Pump It Up. Visit the Ashburn Ice House and you might just bump into Olympic Figure Skater Isadora Williams who trains there and just returned from representing Brazil at the Olympic Games in Sochi. Start training for the summer Olympics with passes to the open gym at Apex Gymnastic. Improve your golf game with passes for putt putt golf at the Dulles Golf Center. Then improve your batting average at

the batting cages at Fielder’s Choice. There are plenty of ways so spend some time and make some fun memories on a rainy day with this great basket.

Basket full of “Joe” -- Mrs. DeLashmutt (2nd grade) Enjoy a selection of coffee that would make any barista proud! Six bags of assorted coffee, coffee creamers, “cool beans” coffee ice, mugs, scoop, snacks of all kinds, a coffee time book of puzzles to help you pass the time, and if we forgot anything, a $10 gift card to Starbucks. Candyland's Tower of Sweets -- Ms. File (2nd grade) What’s better than winning the lottery? Winning a huge tower of sweets! This tower is built with all things insanely sweet. I Scream for Sweet Frog -- Mrs. McClelland (3rd grade) Here is something to CROAK about!!! If you win this basket, you will get SEVEN $25 gift certificates to spend on delicious, creamy treats at SWEET FROG!!! Likewise, you can hop into Sweet Frog wearing one of the following goodies included in this basket: a Sweet Frog hoodie (sweatshirt), t-shirt, and baseball cap. Finally, you can carry a Sweet Frog lunchbox and impress your friends with your two stuffed frogs from Sweet Frog! It’s not easy being green, but it sure is fun to visit Sweet Frog!!!

The Happy Camper -- Mr. Reynolds (3rd grade) You’ll surely be a happy camper when you win this fun filled basket! In it, you’ll find all the essentials when planning a weekend camping trip, including a two person tent, two collapsible stools, two meal kits along with all the essentials for packing and preparing a meal in the great outdoors, as well as several other items to pack for your next camping trip. Did I mention the freeze dried meals and water filter donated by Purcellville’s Appalachian Outdoors Readiness and Essentials store? Have a great time being a Happy Camper!

BBQ -- Mr. Chandler (4th grade) Backyard Barbeques and summer fun, here we come—just as soon as the weather warms up! But until then you can enjoy this basket that includes a smoker that can hold up to 50 lbs of meat, some wood chips, and a set of BBQ tools to get you started. But what’s a barbeque without the barbeque itself? You’ll also find an assortment of rubs, sauces, marinades and a gift card for purchasing your choice of meat. This is truly a basket to please even the most experienced pit master!

Minecraft Basket -- Mrs. Ciancio (4th grade) From the hit videogame, Minecraft, comes the Minecraft Basket. Try scaring your friends with these monster themed creeper plushie, poster and knitted hat! Act out the game yourself with Steve, Creeper, Zombie, and Enderman action figures. When you think you have all the things you need to go through the “enders” portal, remember that you and a friend can each wear minecraft t-shirts (2) with your light-up iron sword and battery operated wall torch. All your minecraft playing friends will be so jealous if you are the lucky winner. Oh, did you say you don’t own the Minecraft game? No worries -- we included the Xbox 360 Minecraft game for you! Just watch out for the creeper!

Under the Sea -- Mrs. Gernerd (4th grade) Dive right in and bring a little bit of the ocean right into your living room with the Aquarium Basket! Here, you’ll find a 20 gallon fish tank, a wooden stand, a hood with LED lights, a filter (with a few extra cartridges), heater, water conditioner, and a siphon to make water changes easy! Of course, you’ll need some fish for your aquarium, so you’ll get a $50 gift card to Petco, where you can pick out some new fishy friends with the expert assistance of a Petco employee! It’s a place where you can finally find Nemo!

Splashing the Day Away -- Mrs. Teeter (4th grade) You’ll make a splash when you win this basket! The $200 gift card to Massanutten Waterpark will get your family four tickets into the park, plus some extra money for the snack bar and arcade and some other surprises. While there, you and your family can ride popular attractions, such as the Blue Ridge Rapids, the Pipeline, Shenandoah Cove, and when the day’s over and you’re ready to wind down, the whole family can relax in the Shenandoah Hot Springs. You’ll have to travel to outside of Harrisonburg, Virginia to reach your destination for fun, but no worries we’ve included a gift card to pay for gas too!

The Henry Cole Basket Always remember the fun day that you had when local Author/Illustrator Henry Cole visited Mountain View with this basket full of goodies that he left for you! You will win four books: A Nest for Celeste (autographed) Trudy (autographed) On the Way to the Beach (autographed) I Took a Walk Also included are two pieces of original artwork that was drawn here at Mountain View (one is over 5 feet tall and the other is frame.)
