It has been another short week at school this week, following the ANZAC Day public holiday. I hope everyone enjoyed this extra time to rest and be with families. It was great to hear of so many students attending different services and ceremonies across Geelong to recognise and remember the significance of ANZAC day and the soldiers both past and present.
An appreciation to Tom E and Claire F who represented Herne Hill Primary at the Schools ANZAC service last Friday at Johnstone Park. They both should be proud of the manner in which they represented our school at this significant occasion. GRIP LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE Congratulations to all the school leaders who attended the GRIP leadership conference last Friday at the Geelong West Town Hall. This was a great opportunity for students to learn about being a school leader in an interactive and practical manner. Students got to work with students from a number of different primary schools across Victoria. They learnt about responsibility, generating ideas outside the box, and turning ideas into action.
Students were also given the opportunity to reflect on and share their different strengths and weaknesses as a leader and the importance of diversity within a leadership team.
Students should be extremely proud of their involvement and participation on this day. Once again Herne Hill Primary students shone through.
