Lines against StormBy Mirna Riad Arabi

Blowing storm, recalling whistling windReaching my ears, while it comes closer

Phrases carrying on, having no end As tempest crawled to my door locker,

Heart beating, racing the incidentWarning my lines of forcing smasher

Its role must be accomplished Absolutely with no compassion,

Sentences are being linked As meaning getting warmer

Shielding bleeding inkFrom outsider torture,

Yet, the terrified moment occurredSwallowed each speaking sheets corner

Though all copies still kept, and heardFor every part of me, is a recorder.

It is the way sea and your eyes

Match each other constantly

Both put a "spell" on the soul

Divers it, to where is poetry,

Golden sand is a reversible sightOf your skin, under sunlight

Painting, artists cannot find shape to fit

Music, no one has ever heard yet,

Sunset warms inner coldness I feel

As your voice sneaking gently

Daring me not to leave

I surrendered, willingly,

Chilling air is moving freely

I am drunk on love, entirely

Losing myself, completely

To the one who turns beauties into me.



Sighs ofMiles

Sighs, shorten the miles

Where my beloved, Smoothly lies

Move me away, over his side

Leave no trace behind,

Get me beyond this wall

Into his embrace, make me fall

Shut out time, when approach

Hypnotize ticking seconds of the watch,

Invade each beat of heart

Grant me, once, the right

Chase sanity, in me, out

Along with his guts, let it unite,

Shining path, endlessly wide

Only a touch, and we combine

A soul can live a thousand times

In this eternal love divine.



A Journey through Me

The poem by which now I live

More than half of it is fancy

Splendid journey, holding beauty

exists only through me,

So high up, I can see

colorful rainbow, endlessly it seems

birds singing in my ears

sound of leaves, running streams,

Table for two, under one big tree

Lilies and grass so green

A smile on my face appears

As my love, found his way into my dreams,

He has been here early

playing for me a sweet melodyIris is lifting us gently

while we are falling upward, helplessly,

Between these two arms, I feel complete

With him I breathe differently

this is where, I don't want to leave

For no road leads here, in reality.



From Afar

So I watch you from afar

As everybody else

Though heart being drifted where you are

Something doth glow in its depth,

Following your acts, moves you do

Catching each glance coming through

Your expressive eyes, adorable smile

Seems to shorten every mile,

Step or two more, then flee

No face to see, no words to hear

Not to return cause my fear

Yet still feeling your presence near,

As I breathe in deep

Emotions, are forever to keep

Blown away with every breeze sentCarrying within your scent.

With your pretty smile, deep look, that heals

Whispering' I'm yours tonight',

Beside you I always see

Her shadow standing still

In every move there is she

With her smiling mockery,

Capturing you with her soul

Keeping you close to one sole

Smashing my heart with a look

Telling me you've been hooked,

Dragging every single part of you

To her far away world

Bringing back years that gone

And in old memories you drown,

In wonder I stare upon

Of what had passed, or will come

No place for me, I can see

You've never fallen for me.



I·m Gone

Without an excuse, I must leave

Do not misunderstand me

Your fear stole my internal peace

Banned my thoughts, my beliefs,

Your hands are so coldPossessed by a certain inner doubt

Making me run before I even walk

Trapped with an awkward quiet sound,

Your eyes set a fire

Burning any delicacy whatsoever

Neither hope, nor trust exist

Struck your head in distress,

Youre infinitely strange to yourself Your intentions are hard to tell

Reasons dismissed, chances being thrown

And Im gone; Im gone.



It's Over

Don't say it's over

Because I can't get over

I tried over and over

To end your love, and start over,

But your love lives inside

Moving in all sides

Dragging me to your side

Putting all reasons aside,

Hope one day you'll recall

Our love and make a call

To keep my heart away

It's no longer a big dealIf YOU, can't be near

I've learned my lesson well

Rescued myself from hell,

I'm not naive anymore

Praying to see YOU, or get a call

Thinking life has no meaning at allWithout YOU, everything could fall,

I won't turn the years again

In all their loneliness and pain

There's nothing more to give

Absent from YOU, I chose to live,

In a minute there's timeFor us to revise and decide

No matter what YOU, say or do

At last, your real world won

Now you're free to go on

The pretty things that I hold

And all my feelings, were fold,

Take your deeds, be away

As far as you can stay

In your cocoon I couldn't adjustToo tight, too cold for me to adapt,

Finally the curtain was closed

Ending a play, written by both

Your selfishness gain it all

A hero you were all along,

A great bow for your success

I lost the battle, I confess

But life is like turning wheelsWinners will face their defeat.

A weird title for deadly drugsInhaled, injected, or smoked

Widely abused, damaging the brainHeroin, marijuana, and cocaine,

Addiction affect user's ability to sense pleasureAnd may contribute to depression

They think, dream about it, constantlyBecome irritable and confused, increasingly,

They are sold at head shops, nightclubs, and raveThreatening teenagers, relatives, and friendsLeads to stroke, seizures, even some deaths

Putting their dreams at greater risk,

When you're bored, restless, confused or anxiousThere are solutions, "positive addictions"

Through listening to music, exercising, mountain climbingSay "No" to Drugs, save yourself from self-destructive.

Why do people like to hurt?While others should pay

why some like to show themselves?Hearing no one but what they say,

Why the past we can't forget?Always afraid of what will comewhy doing the same mistake?Repeating it more than once,

Why there are a lot of deceiving?And so many still don't careHeart-less with no feelings

Giving all the hatred instead,

Why am I still in love with you?Why I am that fool

Missing you when I'm sure Your love never been true.

The past came knocking at my door

I froze, not knowing what to do

Should I open to let it in?

Or prevent my ears from listening,My heart jumped to open

My mind shouted, to stop him

You're the one whose been harmed

Why acting so dumb?

I was stuck in the middle

Waiting for the right decision

Part of me wanted to go

The other part begging to hold,

Until this moment, I'm standing still

Can't find words to end my poem

If only my past could help and say

The reason of coming back again.



Mirror on the wall

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Exactly what is your role?

My appearance is all I see

You keep staring at me;

Oh, mirror tell me why

Can't show who I am inside

Help me if you can

And try to lead a hand;

Mirror you're just a lie

I ask questions, never got a reply

So sick of this deceit

The way you've tried to cheat;

For you, mirror, I have a deal

I don't think you're real

It's time to let you fall

No more mirrors on my wall.



Children·sFuture

Dangerous future, children are expecting Full of internet connections

Spending their time playing, chatting Without any restrictions,

New language, they are using Easy for talking, and introducing

Only three letters said, to meet a new pal What is your ´ASLµ!

No more laughing sounds Nor at home, or around Faces lost their features

While fingers are typing ´LOLµ Thinking is no longer their concern As long as "Google Search" is there Asking and browsing all they need

Answers then, on the screen, appeared Net addiction that what it seems

Without computers, their world looks weird Actions might reach the extremes

If anyone with this device interfered.



Love Is

Love is changeable just like seasons of the year.

It makes you fly high where you can see colorful flowers and feel thesmoothing breeze, taking you where spring is;

love has a tricky way in stealing years from all, until we become old,

then abandon us, same way trees do to yellow leaves in time of fall;

But sure no one can ever forget that love is hot, makes your body

flames without fire, just like burning woods in summer;

It also hurts deep inside; bring coldness to hearts, makes people run

away, looking for a shelter, as if they·re hiding from heavy rain in

winter.

So love is, as each letter shows; Language of Various Emotions.



Music of silence

Lips are murmuring, laughing, whispering; eyes are staring, weeping,

blaming; some faces are full of happiness, others covered by sorrow, the

breeze is holding their echoes, passing through me, yet I can¶t catch the

scene.

I, with my senses, have been taken where the music is, dancing beat along

your heart, listening to a beautiful tune, which has no sound, your deep

look is playing a soft rhythm inside.

In the outside I am living, but my feelings with you are being; your hidden

presence mutes all the voices around, and music of silence appeared,

among the crowd.
