Welcome Confession and Forgiveness

Blessed be the holy Trinity, ☩ one God, who is present, and gives life, who calls into existence the things that do not exist. Amen. If you were to keep watch over sins, O Lord, who could stand? Yet with you is forgiveness, and so we confess.

Silence is kept for reflection.

Gracious God, have mercy on us. We confess that we have turned away from you, knowingly and unknowingly. We have wandered from your resurrection life. We have strayed from your love for all people. Turn us back to you, O God. Give us new hearts and right spirits, that we may find what is pleasing to you and dwell in your house forever. Amen. Receive the good news: God turns to you in love, and says, “I will put my spirit in you, and you shall live.” All your sin is forgiven in the

name of ☩ Jesus Christ, who is God’s gift of grace for you. Amen.

ALL ARE INVITED TO THE FEAST! As we gather at the table of the Lord today to celebrate Holy Communion, we want everyone to know that all are invited to come, eat and drink of the forgiveness God provides. You don’t have to be a member of Holy Cross, nor do you have to be Lutheran to participate with us. It is Jesus who invites all of us to come; and we invite you.

GLUTEN-FREE WAFERS AND WHITE GRAPE JUICE are available with Holy Communion, if you would prefer them. Just let the communion server know.

DO YOU LIKE HAVING AN EASTER BREAKFAST SERVED ON EASTER MORNING? How much? We’re beginning our Lent & Easter planning, and are looking for some folks who would be willing to put an Easter Breakfast into the plans. If you are interested, talk to Pastor Ron or Scott Moore. Let’s get some people together & have some fun!

+ Prayer of the Day The Lord be with you. And also with you. Let us pray… Lord God, our strength, the struggle between good and evil rages within and around us, and the devil and all the forces that defy you tempt us with empty promises. Keep us steadfast in your word, and when we fall, raise us again and restore us through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

+ Apostles’ Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

SUPPORT OUR YOUTH MISSION TRIP In June, 8 of our youth will be spending a week in Appalachia - living out their faith, growing in their understanding of God's love, and helping others - and they need your help. We may not all be able to go with them physically but they need us all to support them so that they can get there and do God's work; Holy Cross's work, with their hands. Do you shop at King Soopers? Do you use a King Soopers card to get discounts on your groceries? If so, your regular shopping trip can turn into a financial donation for this trip. All it takes is five minutes of your time, on your computer or ours to make a difference. If you supported the youth in the past with a King Soopers gift card, the program has changed and is now a little easier for you. You no longer have to refill a gift card, you just have to connect your King Soopers number to our Holy Cross community rewards account. Then, when you swipe your card or enter your Alternate ID, King Soopers will donate to the Holy Cross Youth group at no cost to you. All you have to do is stop by our youth table during coffee hour or after church and we can help you connect your card to Holy Cross. Or you can take this sheet home with you and follow the instructions below. Thank you so much for your support.

To link your rewards card to the King Soopers or City Market Community Rewards Program:

Simply visit http://www.kingsoopers.com and follow these easy steps • New users will need to create an account which requires some basic

information, a valid email address and a loyalty card.* • Once logged into your King Soopers account you can search for Holy Cross

Lutheran Church of Wheat Ridge either by name or by our account number KC511 and then click Enroll.

*Customers must have a registered King Soopers loyalty card account to link to your organization. *If a member does not yet have a King Soopers or City Market loyalty card, please let them know they are available at the customer service desk at any King Soopers or City Market
