The light bulb• Thomas Edison was
born on February 11, 1847 and died on October 18, 1931 in New Jersey. He was 84 years of age.
The light bulb was invented by Thomas Edison. Thomas Edison created the light bulb in October 22, 1879.
Light bulb Positive
Without light bulbs
you cant see anything in the night. Candles can fall and burn.
NegativeIncandescent light bulbs use
significantly more electricity than other light emitting bulbs such as fluorescent bulbs. Depending on the cost of your electricity, average savings for using fluorescent lighting for a comparable incandescent bulbs may be $60-$75 per
year assuming 4 hours of usage a day.
CandlesBack in the day people used candles . Some candles are scented and bad for your health. Candles are bad for the environment, because they release an assortment of pollutants when they are burned, just like anything else, as combustion generates an assortment of chemical compounds

Thomas Edison He and his team
worked to make a light bulb which would burn for a long time without burning out. They tried 1,500 materials and nothing worked well. Finally he tried a new material in the filament that burned nearly 200 hours.
Thomas Edison The early solution to this
dilemma was to operate the filament at lower temperatures to attain reasonable life. However, the incandescent brightness of the bulb was sacrificed in the process. Other light bulb inventors tried two new filament materials to improve bulb brightness.

Thomas Edison 1887 Develops the
New phonograph , using a wax cylinder. Edison Phonograph Co. formed in October. Moves to a larger and more modern laboratory in West Orange, New Jersey.
Thomas Edison1894-.- First Kinetoscope parlor opened in midtown Manhattan on April 14.- Puts the Edison Manufacturing Co. in charge of the manufacture and sale of Kinetoscopes and films on April 1.
Thomas Edison In 1881 he creates
the Edison Electric Lamp Co., the Edison Machine works and other companies to produce his electric lighting system.
Thomas Edison Modern incandescent bulbs are
not energy efficient, only four to six percent of the electrical power supplied to the bulb is converted into visible light. The remaining energy is lost as heat. However these inefficient light bulbs are still widely used today due to many advantages such as: wide, low-cost availability
easy incorporation into electrical systems
adaptable for small systems low voltage operation, such as
in battery powered devices wide shape and size availability
