Thomas & Betts’ new SC4-KIT-1 liquid sealing compound is a two-part, self-leveling liquid epoxy compound for use with shielded cables and power cables. The SC4-KIT-1 replaces the previous SC4-KIT sealing compound.

SC4-KIT-1 Sealing Compound Kit

Kit is supplied in a metallized packcomplete with damming fiber to

prevent conductor interstice leakage.

Use SC4-KIT-1 liquid compound for shielded cables and all power cables. For power cables with less than 4 conductors (including ground), SC65 putty-type sealant can be used.

An all-in-one pouch and a field-customizable,

easy-pour nozzle are inside the metallized pack.

Follow the mixing instructions on the metallized pack,

install and trim the nozzle to adjust sealant flow.

Please refer to instruction sheet provided with fittings for detailed installation instructions.

Finally, fill the sealing chamber while manipulating

the de-energized conductorsto encourage sealant flow.
