The UMW Christmas Luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th, at 11:30AM in The Lounge. The Ruth Circle will be hosting a soup bar with rolls and dessert. There is no charge for the luncheon. However, we will be taking a free will offering for our very own Academy. Make checks payable to "Aldersgate UMC" with "Academy" in the memo. Any questions please contact Jill DeCamp (760-3879) or Leslie Kitch (437-3370).

Aldersgate is such a giving community and has supported the Angel Tree Minis-try for many years. These children all have a parent that is incarcerated and this gift will be from that parent. We thank you in advance for continuing to em-brace these children and their caregivers this year! Please make sure you fill out the piece of paper attached to the angel you choose with your name and phone number, then place it in the designated basket by the tree. We ask that you spend between $20-$30 on each child. There are also caregiver angels as well. We are requesting a gift certificate to either Meijer or Walmart for $20 or $25 for each caregiver. Gifts are due back no later than December 1st. If you would like to help deliver gifts, please contact Leslie Kitch at 437-3370.

All are welcome to join the ladies of Ruth Circle (and our husbands) in The Hanging of the Greens today immediately following church. Pastor Tom will be sharing a devotional once we are finished. We would love to have some new faces help with this fun event!! Questions contact Leslie Kitch 437-3370 or Jill DeCamp 760-3879.

Come hear the sounds of the Holiday Season with the Summit City Singers on Sunday, December 1st at 3:00pm.

Me-'N-U will NOT be serving a Thanksgiving Meal

A Volunteer Opportunity Aldersgate is seeking to establish, for this church and the community, an Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group and a volunteer facilitator is needed. Support Group Facilitators create a safe, open environment where people share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems of dementia. The goal of support groups is to provide emotional, social and/or educational support to group members. The facilitator leads monthly meetings for family caregivers, adult children, spouses, or people living with dementia in the community; preferably weekday, daytime hours. The groups are established in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association staff in neutral, accessible and safe locations. The Association is seeking empathic, passionate and effective listeners with a demonstrated commitment to participants' needs to commit to a 1-year term delivering a monthly group. We seek applicants who can create and maintain a safe environment and respect the group process allowing all members to share. If interested please see or call Roy Horther, Senior Adult Ministries Coordinator, home phone 260-489-2460. Thank you!

Youth Group will meet TONIGHT from 5:00p until 7:00p in the Down Under. Dinner will be provided. Bring a friend and your ideas! Questions? Text Pastor Ashley @ 260-445-9791.

Mission Giving Opportunity: On December 8th, Rev. Angelo Mante of Alive Community Outreach will be preaching at Aldersgate. Rev. Mante is an ordained United Methodist pastor who is launching a ministry in Fort Wayne to address the problem of violence. As a ministry of the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church, Rev. Mante hopes to begin to break the cycle of violence by building relationships, providing education and offering support to victims. If you would like to give to an Advent offering to support this new ministry, please put your contribution in an envelope marked “Alive Community Outreach.” We will be receiving this offering through December 22.
