Dear Parishioners , Friends , Parents , and Guardians :

Many of you own properties, and you understand that once you have properties, they take a lot of

energy, effort, and resources to upkeep them . The same thing applies to church and school . You may not

realize that within the last two years , the school has endlessly gone through maintenance and repairs . It

looks much better now. All of this maintenance and repairs cost approximately $ 157,600 .

On behalf of Sacred Heart School , I sincerely thank you our donors . Without your generosity and

love for Sacred Heart School , it would not have a new look as it does now . Besides that , a very special thank

you to St. Joseph Parish who always supports Sacred Heart School . I also ask everyone to keep our friend ,

Helen Pottkotter, in your prayers . Indeed , she still lives among us as she teaches us the meaning of

generosity and giving without counting the cost .

This summer , the school has a project that needs to be done as the classrooms' hardwood floors

sanded , stained and sealed . The hallway floor is old and worn , and it needs to be replaced . The overall

project may cost about $ 27,000 to $ 30,000 . St. Joseph parish has agreed to give the school $ 15,000 .

Usually, several anonymous donors give the school a Christmas gift of $ 5,000 . The school is still in need of

$ 8,000- $ 10,000 .

As Christmas and New Year's are approaching , I ask everyone to give the school a small gift of $40

or more . When everyone gives a helping hand , everything will be accomplished . The most important thing

is that our children have a proper place to study . At the same time, we are like Helen Pottkotter who

teaches our children the meaning of generosity and compassion through our act of charity . As President

Abraham Lincoln said : "Actions speak louder than words . " Let's all together write the book of generosity as

we actively and enthusiastically support Sacred Heart School . Please write in your check memo or on your

envelope "School Maintenance . "

May God bless every one of us as we are vigilantly , excitingly, and eagerly waiting for the

Incarnation of our Messiah , Emmanuel .

If you enjoy shopping and would like to help the teens shop for the Angel Tree, please

meet in the parking lot at Sacred Heart after the 10:30 am Mass this Sunday Dec. 13th .

We will be shopping at Walmart in Lawrenceburg if you want to meet us there .

Thank you to everyone who has been so generous with your donations. So far we have

collected $2,171 for our 25 Angels . Our goal is $ 3,000 . With your help we can make allof

these Angels have a wonderful Christmas .
