Review: God judges and restoresnations based upon its leadership. When our sayings and doings areagainst the Lord, the Bible warnsthat God will remove the honorableand mighty men and turn us over toweak, inept, and wicked rulers

culminating in Isaiah 3:12, whichstates, As for my people, childrenare their oppressors, and womenrule over them. O my people, theywhich lead thee cause thee to err,

and destroy the way of thy paths.

    A. Evaluate the condition of the current youthculture. Do they bless or oppress? Do they inspire ournation to want children? Do they affirm that childrenare a blessing from the Lord or do they affirm much

    of the warning in Proverbs?

    B. One does not have to be a rocket scientist ora great theologian to discern the oppressive natureof our modern-day youth culture. They pierce theirbodies, tattoo everything that does not move, and

seem bent on casting off every moral restraint andremoving every ancient landmark that has served topreserve civilization. The newest form of beingcool or rebellious in this generation is to flauntsexual immorality in all its perverse forms.

    C. Nevertheless, before we blame them entirelyfor this moral anarchy, previous generations need totake some ownership for the current malaise. Thisgeneration coming up is merely bearing the brunt ofthe sin, folly, and idolatry perpetrated by those whohave gone before them. Prior generations havechosen their comfort, ease, and materialism at theexpense of our childrens future. Is it any wonder

    The Hezekiah Mentality:

Hear the word of the Lord of hosts: Behold, the dayscome, that all that is in thine house, and that whichthy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall

be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith theLord. And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; andthey shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king ofBabylon. Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is theword of the Lord, which thou hast spoken. He said

moreover, for there shall be peace and truth in mydays (Isaiah 39:68).

    A. Hezekiah was considered a righteous king, but where is his commitment as a father?

    B. I am afraid this same mentality exists in ournation today. It seems the older generation does notpossess the vision, courage, and willingness to endthe captivity of our children in pagan America.C. Have we chosen our ease at the expense of

our childrens future? What are we bequeathing tothem?

    The Hezekiah Mentality (Cont.):

    D. We need to reclaim the example of our

Pilgrim Fathers and mothers.1. Bradford writes, "Lastly, (and which was notthe least), a great hope and inward zeal they had oflaying some good foundation, or at least to makesome way thereunto, for the propagating and

advancing of the kingdom of Christ in those remoteparts of the world; yea, though they should be buteven as stepping-stones unto others for theperforming of so great a work."2. Gospel song, "Let those who come behind us

find us faithful, may the fire of our devotion lighttheir way. May the foot prints that we leave, leadthem to believe and the lives we live inspire them toobey."3. Example of Robert E Lee.

Women Rulers :A. The other majorconsequence a nation in rebellionagainst God suffers is womenrule over you (Isaiah 3:12). Asour country rejects the soundmodel of leadership found inpatriarchy and embracesfeminism, America falters.Womens rule over men is not onlya disgrace to men; it is a sign ofGods judgment upon adisobedient nation. Instead ofbeing an indication of progressionand enlightenment, it is aharbinger of greater woes tocome.B. The feminization ofAmerica has unleashed untolddamage to the warp and woof ofour nation. List some of them.

    Judges:

    A. Leadership can also be a sign that God iswilling to restore a nation.

    B. According to Gods Word, the demand forrighteous, godly leaders is not optional if our nationis to thrive once again under the blessing of God. Thevision of The KLI Manual is to motivate leaders with amission defined by Isaiah 58:12 and 61:4. And theythat shall be of thee shall build the old waste places:

thou shalt raise up the foundations of manygenerations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer ofthe breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in (Isaiah58:12). Isaiah 61:4 states, And they shall build theold wastes, they shall raise up the formerdesolations, and they shall repair the waste cities,

the desolations of many generations (Isaiah 61:4).C. These scriptures reveal that in a time ofnational calamity and demise, God desires tocultivate champions who will repair the breach andrestore the right paths. It is therefore incumbent

upon us to train children with this specific vision.

    The Need for Reformation Today:

    A. The martyrs, reformers, pilgrims, foundingfathers, and every righteous person who eversacrificed for the faith have sowed blood, sweat, and

tears to pass on to us a legacy of freedom. We areliving off the fumes of their godly heritage. Thecapital of liberty they invested is almost gone. Thedemand for another investment is now upon us.B. The problem is that we do not possess thesame degree of commitment that sustained ourkingdom predecessors in the cause of Christ. A. W.Tozer commenting on this dilemma stated, We lovethe old saints, missionaries, martyrs, and reformers. Our Luthers, Bunyans, Wesleys, and Asburys, etc. Wewill write their biographies, reverence theirmemories, frame their epitaphs, and build theirmonuments. We will do anything except imitatethem. We cherish the last drop of their blood, butwatch carefully the first drop of our own.C. 1 Peter 2:21-23. We need to follow theexample of our Lord. He stood boldly for the truth, endured persecution, and responded with love and

Gentle Revolution:A. The radicals of the 1960s are now theestablishment of the new millennium.

    B. To be a rebel today, our young must livegodly, righteous, and holy lives. Why? Because ournational systems have become corrupt.

    C. The great need is for a spiritual, moral, and

godly revolution that will turn America back to herbiblical moorings is paramount. We must inspire andequip our young people to start a counterculturesimilar to the 1960s.

    D. Jeremiah 23:22 states, But if they had stoodin my counsel, and had caused my people to hear mywords, then they should have turned them from theirevil way, and from the evil of their doings. It shouldbe obvious from the passage that the desperate needof the hour is to produce courageous young people

young people who will boldly demand that Americareform her ways and doings.

Prophetic Reformers:A. Clearly, the church and America have been ledastray. We have lost our vision; therefore, we are forfeitingour destiny. In these trying times, God calls for specialists.

There are troubleshooters in factories trained to observeassembly lines, monitor breakdowns, and swing into actionto fix malfunctions. In the same way, prophetic reformersmust arise to fix the spiritual and moral malfunctions of ournation.B. We must train these prophetic reformers to think

critically and honestly assess the condition of the church, culture, and nation. They must take the time to exam thetrue state of our union in light of Gods Word. Just likeNehemiah of old, they need to investigate the damage ofAmericas broken walls and burnt gates. They need torecognize the exposed areas where sin, Satan, and thisillegitimate world system are savaging their generation. As

they discern the true state of affairs, they must give theirlives to bring what is to what it ought to be according toGods Word.C. The Psalmist asked a crucial question that our youngpeople must answer, If the foundations be destroyed, whatcan the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3). To respond to this

query, they must, like Josiah of old, rediscover the bookthat was lost in the temple (2 Kings 22). Returning to Gods

Prophetic Reformers (Cont.):D. The Apostle Paul taught that we must takeheed how we build, According to the grace of Godwhich is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, Ihave laid the foundation, and another buildeththereon. But let every man take heed how hebuildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no manlay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ (1Corinthians 3:1011).E. As masterbuilders, it is essential for youngpeople to study Gods Word, will, and ways. Theymust have the determination to rebuild the brokenlives, fragmented families, and storm-torncommunities according to Gods design.

The term reformation means return toform. The opposite of reformation is

apostasy. Apostasy means you were inone state and devolved into a differentone. It is like a marriage that ends indivorce for non-biblical grounds.

Reformation is a call back to yourformer state. It demands that we returnto our first love and works (Revelation2:45).

Acts 3:21 reveals that Jesus is held

    Historical Reformation:

    A. There were three areas of contention. Themain issues centered on what was the ultimate

authority between the church, tradition, and GodsWord. Sola scriptura, scripture alone, became themotto.B. The reformation demanded that scripture bethe ultimate authority for faith, life, and practice.

The cry was Christ alone, faith alone, grace alone, and the word alone. These doctrines fueled thereformation.

    C. The reformers held up every practice, belief, and tradition of their day to the Word of God. Based

upon this practice, they sought to keep the good andremove the bad. If it was a tradition of God, theydemanded the church practice it. If, however, it was atradition of man that made void the commandmentsof God, they removed it from the practice of thechurch.

    Historical Reformation (Cont.):

    D. The other issue of the reformation was whatshould the order of authority be as it relates toscripture, the church, and tradition. The CatholicChurch believed an infallible church canonized aninfallible Bible. Therefore, they felt justified to claimthe Catholic Church was an authority equal with, orover, Gods Word. If Gods Word conflicted withCatholic tradition and dogma, the church demandedadherence to Catholic teaching.E. The Protestant Church, however, believed afallible church canonized an infallible Bible. Therefore, the churchs obligation was to humblyreceive the canon as the authoritative Word of God.The church was not on par with scripture and it wasunthinkable the church was over scripture. No.According to the reformation, it was Gods Word andnot church tradition that was the ultimate authority. The scriptures, in and of themselves, were sufficientfor life, faith, and practice.

The Need for Reformation TodayA. This is a lesson I had to personally learn.

When God broke my heart and opened my eyes to thebattle raging for our future, reformation commencedin my life. As I was storming the gates of hell againstthe American holocaust, abortion, I was horrified tofind that a lot of my thinking and practices weredefined by the abortion industry and the spirit of the

age instead of Gods Word. It is hard to defeat anenemy that is dictating your thoughts and behavior.

    B. In fact, sanctification is a lifelong process ofreformation. No matter how much progress we make,we are still under construction. As the Apostle Paul

stated, Not as though I had already attained, eitherwere already perfect: but I follow after, if that I mayapprehend that for which also I am apprehended ofChrist Jesus (Philippians 3:12).

Individual, Family, Church and National Reformation:

    A. Individual reformation is foundational. It mustprecede national reformation. The family and thechurch cannot export reformation if we refuse toreform our ways and doings.

    B. The desperate need of the hour is forprophetic reformers to arise and challenge the statusquo. They must self-consciously compare theworldview and practices of America to the Word ofGod. For example, what kind of government do wehave today? What should it be? The secular worldtells us we are a democracy, which our foundingfathers considered mob rule.

    C. America, however, was established as aConstitutional Republic, based upon the HebrewRepublic found in scripture (Exodus 18).

    D. What is our view of the nature of law? Is it afixed standard based upon Gods moral laws, or are

laws based upon evolution and develop to meet the

Individual, Family, Church and National Reformation(Cont.):

    E. What is our view of family? Is gay marriagelegitimate?

    F. Should women leave home, hearth, children, and the role of helpmate to pursue careers outsidethe home? What is our view of education?

    G. Should parents give their lambs to worldly

wolves to be educated? Is it Gods will to take hisprecious gifts and give them to humanistic templescalled Public Schools, which indoctrinate them withpagan philosophies contrary to biblical truth? Shouldwe educate our children at home according to GodsWord?

    H. The list of crucial issues can go on, but thetruth is, the need for reformation today is as great asit ever was in history. Our godly goal must be toreform the church to restore America. I pray The KLIManual: Raising Up Leaders a Time Like This
