One day,the students

learned about a man called Hitler,

and his army called the Nazis...

They learnedthat he

was a very bad man.He did many bad things to people

that were different to him.

He tookchildren away

from their families,

and made them very sad.

But one history lesson changed everything...

He decided tocreate a way of

discipline called the Wave,where everyone

had to follow, and respect the leader.

The same way the Nazis were

This was tounderstand

howthey felt

while they did those

horrible things.

The principal, Mr. Owens, also noticed student’s wrongdoings

due to the Wave, and had to listen to their

parent’s complaints.

He also was angrywith Mr. Ross, and toldhim to do something

about it, and save the studentsfrom harm.

It was to tellthem how theywere too caughtup in the Wave.

He showedthe students

the filmabout the Nazis

He talked to themabout how they

were becoming likethe Nazis. How they

To wrap upthe assembly,

Mr. Ross apologizes too.

He apologizes forletting things get out of hand

When the assembly was over,

many peoplewere sad,

Page 17: Thewavebook

They learned that powershould not influence how

they treat others.

Because they feltpowerful joiningthe Wave, they

felt that everyone should be

a part of it; and harmed anyone

who wasn’t.
