Actually we’re going to ask you to PARTY!Strangely enough, you can sti ll have a good ti me whilst working towards a good cause, which in this case is learning more about the beauti ful Deen of Islam and enjoying it too.

SO WHAT ARE WE ASKING FOR?

Can you rise to the challenge?We’d like you to have a party in your home or even in the House of Allah, with a minimum of 10 people, each donati ng a minimum of £10 each and then donate this to Mercy Mission via www.justgoparty.com

You may ask why we need to raise funds for this? Quite simply because Mercy Mission is going on a tour around the UK during Ramadan for the BIG DATE Campaign.

The Mercy Mission team and their partners will be giving everyone the chance to learn about Islam with free informati on during their Journey in THE BIG DATE BUS. And we’ll be handing out free Dates to share with your Neighbours no matt er who they are - Muslims and Non-Muslims alike.

The ‘How-To’ Guide for a Great House Party – Mercy Mission Style!

Now, to make this global campaign a great success, and create a model which we can take from the UK this year to across the globe the next we have a very simple process, and it really is as simple as, one, two, three..

1. Make a list of all the friends and family you would like to invite to your party a. Don’t forget you need a minimum of 10 people to qualify for a House Party Submission b. And according to the guidance of Islam, parti es should be of a single gender only. c. If you get stuck search through the friends you have on Facebook/email or following you on Twitt er!

2. Register your party at www.justgoparty.com and invite all the friends on your list explaining what you are doing and why you are doing it! a. Don’t forget there would be minimum entry fee of £10 as the purpose is to raise funds to make this Ramadan extra special for everyone. b. You can come up with a theme to make it more fun! PARTY THEMES

As the parti es will all be single gender you can let your hair down – literally, and aside from making use of the offi cial party game, (htt p://www.babaaligames.com/) and or the party DVD, (htt p://www.thedeenshow.com/TDSdvds.php) to make things interesti ng, try;

1. Swap the Nikab/Hijab for a Masquerade Mask and fancy dress

2. Internati onal Dish day – each bring a dish from a diff erent conti nent so please don’t all turn up with a Biryani!

3. Thumb Football tournament – fl ex your thumbs on the latest football games on your Wii, PS3, Xbox etc – you get the idea! Knock out tournament unti l you get a winner

4. Nasheed Chairs – get the children in on the act and play our take on Musical Chairs with the latest Nasheeds

5. Muslims Got Talent – Test your knowledge and ask the children to perform their recitati on of the Qur’an in front of the audience

6. Aucti ons – everyone has something they love and something they hate – bring them both along and see if you can raise money for the sake of Allah

7. Girls Pamper Day – ask the beauti cian to come to your house for the aft ernoon for makeovers, facials, pedicure and manicure.

8. Garden Party – if you have been blessed with a large garden why not hire out a bouncy castle….

PARTY IN THE HOUSE OF ALLAH

If you are fortunate enough to know more than 10 people who can make a diff erence why not invite them to a gathering at your local mosque?

1. Download informati on on why you want to host a party from www.justgoparty.com

2. Approach your local Masjid Committ ee about the Big Date Campaign

3. Engage them to put on an event in regards to the importance of Dawah

4. Establish if you would like to present the project at the party yourself, or would like the support of an Islamic speaker to give a lecture on the importance of Dawah.

5. Ensure key speakers are present – Mercy Mission can in some cases help provide support with speakers if 100 + att endees are expected.

6. Once approved, approach a caterer or business to sponsor or provide the food for the number of people you believe would att end from the masjid/ centre an event on the identi fi ed £10 terms

7. Ensure approval by the Masjid Committ ee and start the process of promoti ng the event.

8. Download the offi cial party poster to invite people from the host masjid/ centre, and print and display in the masjid.

9. Promote the event through all possible networks, and build awareness amongst the congregati on.

10. Ensure all food and all materials that you wish to use are available on the day, and try approach local restaurants/ catering fi rms to support the campaign and get the food sponsored.

11. Ensure that appropriate measures are taken to clean up aft er the event as cleanliness is also an Islamic eti quett e.

Terms of Registrati on:

Before registering it is essenti al you accept three key points:

1. As we will close registrati ons at 1000, then only register if you are defi nitely seeking to host a party, as you will be holding back a fellow Muslim from parti cipati ng in the good deed, by registering and not hosti ng.

2. All party hosts must ensure the due terms and eti quett es of the party, as per the party packs, are upheld, and all decisions relati ng to party planning and delivery are done with the principle in mind, ‘there is no obedience to the creati on, in the disobedience of Allah’.

3. There is a £25 registrati on fee, and for all those people who register a party, it will be required that as a bare minimum on party day, they upload a further £75. This should come from the amount raised from your 10 guests, as all the proceeds from the party should be sent within 24hrs of hosti ng your party, if for some reason you are unable to raise the suffi cient funds from your party or are even unable to hold it, due to personal circumstance, we expect you to honour your commitment to the program and its vision to take Islam to the masses.
