Aranea: “HA! Gotcha! You’re worse at this game than Aunt Callie!”

Page 3: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Sagitta: “Hey, what’s that behind you?”

Aranea: “Uh, right. Because I’m really going to fall for that.”

Sagitta: “No. Seriously. Is Spar’s house on fire?”

Page 4: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Phoenix: “Dad!?”

Spar: “Phoenix! Where’s your mother? Your sisters!?”

Phoenix: “The bedroom!” *cough* “What are you doing home from work already!?”

Page 5: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Spar: “Get to safety, Fee!”

Phoenix: “Dad, NO! MOM!!”

Page 6: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Sagitta: “It’s jumping over here!!”

Aranea: “You get to safety! I’ll get everyone out of the house!!”

Page 7: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

*scream*

Page 8: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Zircon: “Come on!! DOWN HERE!! HURRY!!”

Neffy: “We’re hurrying, we’re hurrying! Keep your” *cough* “pants on!”

Page 9: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Neffy: “Phew! Made it!”

Zircon: “Alright, come on! Angie, Leo! Hurry up!!”

Page 10: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 11: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Andi: “JONATHAN!? GIRLS!? ANSWER ME!!”

Page 12: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “NO!! The door is blocked!? It can’t be blocked!!” *cough* “This is just some sort of sick joke! COME ON!! It can’t end now!!”

Kevin: “Hey Arie, can I ask you something?”

Arie: “Not now, Kevin! I’m busy!!”

Page 13: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Kevin: “Well, see, seeing as how it doesn’t look like we’re going to make it out of this alive, and all…”

Page 14: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Kevin: “I’ve been carrying this ring around in my pocket for about four generations, and it would be a shame not to use it after all this time. Marry me?”

Page 15: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “You realize you have no sense of timing, right? Not ever, even since you were trying to convince me to date you.”

Kevin: “…so is that a no?”

Page 16: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “Of course I’ll marry you, you dummy! Maybe the Grim Reaper performs ceremonies at the Luau?”

Page 17: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “…”

Kevin: “…”

Page 18: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “GO!!”

Kevin: “Ooh, HOT!!”

Page 19: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Jessie: “It’s all on FIRE!!”

Mia: “It’s spreading all over the entire neighborhood! Except for Dane’s apartment—no, actually, there it goes.”

Page 20: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Sam: “We have to do something!!”

Rosie: “Can’t. We’re locked in. Also no one else can get in at us.”

Ani-Mei: “How can you sit there and read at a time like this!? Peachtree Valley is BURNING!! People are DYING!! WE’RE going to die!!”

Page 21: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Rosie: “We’re not going to die. Look around you. The simself compound is made out of concrete and cinder blocks, for Pete's sake. The place can’t burn down. You know what’s not made out of non-flammable materials? Our houses, Ani-Mei.”

Page 22: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Rosie: “We might lose those trees, though.”

Page 23: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Chantelle: “How’s it going here, Patricia?”

Patricia: “I’ve almost got it under control.”

Chantelle: “And the residents?”

Page 24: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Calcite: “But this is… n-no! NOT HERE!!”

Page 25: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Chantelle: “CALCITE!! Come back!! It’s not under control yet!!”

Page 26: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “No no no no! Come on! I survive this long, and now this!?”

Page 27: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “Heck with it! I’d rather fall five stories than slowly burn to death!”

Page 28: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “WHOA!!”

Hattie: “Well, come on, then. Off we go.”

Page 29: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 30: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “Seraphine!?”

Seraphine: “Thanks, Hattie. Finally.”

Hattie: “My pleasure. Reluctantly. Now if you’ll excuse us, we have some Castle o’ Doom keys to find in there before the mansion burns to a crisp.”

Page 31: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “WOULD IT KILL YOU TO DO SOMETHING WITHOUT ULTERIOR MOTIVES!?”

Baltic: “What is going on!?”

Page 32: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “…”

Seraphine: “…”

Page 33: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 34: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “Well, that was unexpected.”

Baltic: “Sorry. I’ve kind of been waiting for forever to do that.”

Page 35: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “So, what do we do now? We’re out! It’s over! Arc and Merry are gone, I’m out of the tower, we’re free! Hey, want to go out to eat? Food sounds really good.”

Seraphine: “Actually… sorry, it’s not quite over yet.”

Baltic: “How’s that?”

Page 36: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “You have a legacy to protect, and I still have some work to do with Hattie and her witches.”

Baltic: “What, the legacy’s not over yet?”

Seraphine: “’Fraid not. Go on, get out of here. I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to offer you some space at legacy estate.”

Page 37: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “What’s that face for?”

Baltic: “Well, I was kind of hoping we’d have some time together, you know… since being apart for how long…”

Seraphine: “Oh, get going, you pussy. I’ll be right behind you.”

Page 38: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 39: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “Alright, alright, I’m going.”

Seraphine: “Haha, hurry up. That fire is looking like it’s getting awfully close.”

Bay: “Come on in. There’s plenty of room. Just don’t go into the games room. There’s sort of a huge alien party going on in there.”

Lara: “Who have we heard from?”

Arie: “Kevin and I are alright, of course, and so are Zircon and Neffy, though Zircon’s lost his wife and son. Andi lost her whole family. Gizmo and Lawrence and their daughter Sagitta all got out, though they lost their three other daughters. Andi’s the only survivor from her family. Everyone else is still unaccounted for. I think everyone who made it here are all planning on leaving town tomorrow morning, though.”

Page 45: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Neffy: “Except me.”

Arie: “Neffy?”

Neffy: “This is the last straw. I was willing to get past his meddling once, but I will not forgive him for hurting my family AGAIN! If you guys are going to fight Arc, I’m staying right here!”

Bay: “Our plan isn’t to fight him. Not unless he shows up.”

Neffy: “Then I am camping out exactly where he’s most likely to come!”

Page 46: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Neffy: “Hmph!”

Page 47: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Spar: “Um, hi there. I was wondering…?”

Bay: “Of course you can stay the night. Stick around as long as you want, in fact. Is it just you and Phoenix?”

Page 48: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Phoenix: “Oh, Dad…”

June: “Hey hey hey. No tears. Come on, let’s get some smoothies in the kitchen. I hate crying. Crying’s for wusses. A smoothie will make you feel better. Come on.”

Arie: “Baltic!?”

Page 49: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “BALTIC!! I can’t believe it! You got out! How long has it been, you rascal?”

Baltic: “Hahaha, almost five generations, I think!”

Bay: “You seem awfully happy for just having escaped a blazing inferno of fire and death.”

Baltic: “It’s nothing!”

Page 50: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Alexandra: “I don’t like you two being out here at night. Especially you, June.”

June: “We’ll be fine.” *waves hands* “So, Bay, what exactly are we doing out in the graveyard at night? Besides being vampire bait, I mean.”

Page 51: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “I don’t know. I just needed to think.”

June: “In a graveyard filled with the corpses of your ancestors?”

Bay: “It’s not that bad. It’s peaceful.”

June: “Whatever you say. I think it’s creepy.”

Page 52: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “So many people died today…”

June: “Oh, no. You’re not seriously going to guilt trip yourself, are you?”

Bay: “No… it’s just, the evil witch order set fire to Peachtree Valley, right? So… why didn’t they try to attack us?”

Page 53: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

June: “You’re seriously complaining that they didn’t try burning your house to a crisp?”

Alexandra: “Think about it, Bay. Even if they were to get rid of you, the spares would still be a risk. Any one of them could be activated and carry on the legacy. They needed to make sure that wasn’t an issue. Chances are, they have something bigger planned for you and June.”

Bay: “Great...”

Page 54: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Alexandra: “Besides, even if they were planning to hit legacy estate, they would’ve figured out quickly than Chantelle and Callie were here and would’ve been available to help put out the fire or even fight them, and then you would’ve been on the alert for the same thing happening elsewhere. It isn’t terribly sound battle strategy to tell your enemies exactly what you’re going to do before you do it.”

June: “Hey, you okay? You’re looking kind of pale.”

Page 55: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

June: “Bay!?”

Page 56: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 57: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “…”

Page 58: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Dez: “…”

Bay: “Um… who are you?”

Dez: “…”

Bay: “Okay… where are we?”

Dez: “…”

Page 59: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Sun: “Hey, Dez-man! You totally, finally got him, man!”

Bay: “Grandpa Sun!? Where did you come from!?”

Page 60: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Sun: “HEY EVERYBODY! LIKE, COME ON! WE CAUGHT `IM!”

Bay: “I am so confused…”

Page 61: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Snow: “—just saying, I don’t understand why I have to wear this stupid neck ribbon for the rest of eternity.”

Toro: “It’s not quite the rest of eternity, Mom. Whenever you’re haunting, you’re wearing the necklace you got from Takemizu Village.”

Snow: “Yes, but I’m also old when I’m haunting. It’s an entirely different thing. I’ll bet this is because of the Author. She—”

Rose: “Um… I don’t want to interrupt… but…”

Page 62: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Rhea: “Hi, Bay!!”

Bay: “Hi… um… Mom!?”

Rhea: “That’s right! Ooh, I haven’t seen you since you were a baby! You grew up so handsome!”

Page 63: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Rhea: “Alright, Dez, outta my chair.”

Dez: “…” *sad face*

Page 64: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “So, uh… Mom. Who was that?”

Rhea: “Oh, don’t mind him. That was just Dez. Your great-great-great-great-grandfather.”

Bay: “My what!?”

Rhea: “All of these people here are your ancestors, Bay—the heirs that have come before you. And also a couple of their spouses. Shane’s not here. It’s too bad, I wanted you to meet your father, too. Oh, well. We don’t have much time here, so to business!”

Page 65: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “Um, just one question… where are we? And how did we get here? I’m not dead, am I? The vampires didn’t sneak in and eat us after all, did they!? Where’s June!?”

Rhea: “No, no, you’re not dead. Hold your horses. This is the Astral Realm.”

Bay: “The what?”

Page 66: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Rhea: “The Astral Realm. It’s, um… sort of between the Luau and the realm of the living, I guess, so we can both meet and talk together, under the right circumstances. Um… I don’t know, I guess it changes its look based on the people in it, too. Dez would be able to explain it better, but he doesn’t really talk. I don’t know much about this magic… stuff. I guess he dueled Merry once in here, a really long time ago. Not sure.”

Bay: “So if it changes to reflect the people in it, why all the white?”

Rhea: “We’re the White family, aren’t we?”

Page 67: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Rhea: “So here’s the deal, Bay. We’ve been trying to contact either you or Saffron for ages, but we’ve never been able to catch you near the graveyard, and Saffron isn’t psychic enough to come here without magical help—which we didn’t have. Anyway. We’ve got some vital information to pass on.”

Bay: “Really!? Is it going to help me protect June!? And help finish the legacy!?”

Rhea: “I sure hope so!”

Page 68: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Ella: “You might have noticed, Bay, that there’s a lot of different life states in this room.”

Rhea: “Aw, I was gonna explain it…”

Ella: “You’ve inherited a lot of different kinds of magic in your blood. In fact, every single race that can normally have children has had a hand in bringing you into being. That amounts to a heck of a lot of power.”

Page 69: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “So I can use that power to fight Arc and the vampires and the witches!? AWESOME! How do I do it!?”

Peter: “Sorry, sport. It doesn’t w-w-work that w-way.”

Ella: “You don’t actually have any powers yourself. The blood is too diluted, and besides, inheriting life states has never worked like that anyway.”

Page 70: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “Oh…”

Rhea: “Hey, cheer up! You’ve still got something!”

Bay: “Oh, yeah?”

Rhea: “Yeah! You can… channel us through your body… through some kind of magic shizzle-whizzle. …Ella, help?”

Page 71: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Ella: “Basically, Bay, because you have enough life states of sufficient power in your bloodline, you’re sensitive to us, and have great potential for power yourself. That means that you can call on anyone who you’re a direct descendant of, and we can essentially possess your body and do what we can do individually .”

Bay: “That sounds… slightly disturbing. So I essentially channel your spirit and use your power?”

Ella: “Right. You and Clary can both do it because of the accumulation of life states. …and actually, there is one other in the family tree who can do it with their specific ancestors too, but… better to not let them realize it .”

Page 72: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “Okay… I think I get it.”

Rhea: “I sure hope so, because our time is up.”

Page 73: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Rhea: “I love you, Bay. Good luck, baby boy. Tell Lara thanks for me.”

Page 74: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “…”

Page 75: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “Alright, what’s going on? I’m supposed to be back at home now, aren’t I? Has something gone wrong? Am I trapped here?”

Page 76: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Saffron: “Guess who?”

Bay: “ARGH!!”

Page 77: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Saffron: “I’ve only got a few seconds, so… good luck, baby brother. You got this in the bag.”

Bay: “Which bag? The garbage bag?”

Saffron: “Ha ha. Very funny. Love you, Bay.”

Page 78: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “WHAT HAPPENED!?”

Alexandra: “I DON’T KNOW!! One minute he was sitting on a bench and the next, he was on the ground!!”

June: “Come on, Bay… don’t do this to me… wake up… please…”

Page 79: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “Love you too, Saffron.”

June: “Saffron!? Geez, what am I, chopped liver!?”

Bay: “June!? Um… sorry?”

June: “Hmph! Don’t you DARE do that to me again, Bay White! Pass out and look dead, I mean, not mix me up with your sister. But don’t do that, either.”

Page 80: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Pop! You know, June, I heard a rumor recently that when there’s two rings like that, you’re carrying twins.

June: “I better not be. I haven’t eaten any cheesecake; I do NOT want twins.”

You know, I was thinking the babies should be named after weather or seasons. What do you think?

June: “Fine. But that’s ‘baby,’ singular. Not ‘babies,’ plural. Absolutely not.”

Page 81: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

June: “Hey! HEY!! TURN THIS MUSIC OFF AND GO TO BED!! SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!! Like ME!!”

Page 82: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “Alright, troops. This is the plan.”

Arie: “Troops? Who do you think you’re talking to? You’ve got the heir to this whole mess, and me.”

Matthew: “Alright, then. This is the plan, co-generals.”

Arie: “Better.”

Page 83: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Clary: “I sure hope you have a plan. June is due tomorrow night, which means if they are going to do anything, it’s going to be today.”

Matthew: “Shut up and let me talk, will you? Gah, I miss Jessica. She was so much better at this kind of thing.”

Page 84: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “This is how I see it. We’ve got a small army of life state factions hanging around this place, and we better use them.”

Page 85: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “The good witches are great. They’ve set up some kind of magic thingamajig around the house.”

Arie: “An anti-evil charm, you mean. Dez put one up that ended when he died, way back when. Kept all the evil witches, including Merry, off the property for a full generation.”

Matthew: “Yeah, well, this one isn’t going to be as strong. The witches said the closest witch family member they had to help was Callie, and she hasn’t lived here in forever, so the charm’ll be easy to break. Or something like that. But at least it’ll give us some time.”

Page 86: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “In the meantime, they’ve been stewing reagents and setting up minor traps around the house, just in case they break through. Or so Chantelle said.”

Matthew: “Right. I think they’re going to be our biggest asset here. We have until nightfall to get ready; they won’t attack until then.”

Bay: “Why not?”

Matthew: “The vampires. It makes no sense that they would attack without their full power. They’ll be cutting it close as far as the end of the legacy is concerned, but they’ll be far more dangerous. Those vampires are deadly.”

Page 87: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “Chantelle also said that given the chance, she’s going to try to go outside and cast a sunlight spell, which will get rid of the vampires for us for at least a few weeks. But we’re going to have to count on the vampires guessing we’ll be trying that, since we’ve done it before and all, and making it very hard for a good witch to step outside long enough to cast it. Besides, Chantelle’s the only one powerful enough in her order to pull that spell off right now.”

Matthew: “Which is really too bad. If she can pull it off, though, that’ll almost guarantee us the win here. We’ll still need to worry about the witches, of course, but that’ll effectively cut their forces in half.”

Page 88: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “What about the plantsims? They’ve always helped out.”

Arie: “Helped out how? By being annoying?”

Matthew: “They’re in that greenhouse reading Portents, whatever those are. At least we’ll have them outside to help combat the vampires when they show up. I figure they’ll probably head onto the grounds the instant the anti-evil charm is down. Maybe even before. It’ll be good to have the plantsims ready to fight them, since they have some kind of natural resistance whatnot to vampiric powers. I just wish they were doing something more proactive to prepare than trying to predict the future.”

Page 89: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “Speaking of vampires, none of them have an invite to the inside of the estate, do they?”

Arie: “I don’t… oh. Wait. William. He’s got one, the jerk, and used it to kidnap Gizmo. He’ll be able to go right inside.”

Matthew: “Make sure to get the plantsims a description of him, so they know to make extra sure he doesn’t get inside. A vampire in our inner base would be disastrous.”

Page 90: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “Even if the vampires can’t get inside, they might try to get an opening for the evil witches to go in. We’ll have to make sure we have infantry inside the house to help fight them.”

Bay: “Infantry?”

Arie: “I think there’s some legacy spares still hanging around who want to fight. That would be a good place for them. Neffy and Zircon are here, and so are Baltic, Clary, Spar, and his daughter Phoenix. I think Spar and Phoenix aren’t really the fighting type, though; I’ll talk to them, see what they want to do.”

Page 91: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “We also have the aliens, our biggest faction. They’d do well rounding out our indoors troops, I think. I’m glad we have a small army like that to help—”

Phlox: “Uh, ‘scuse me?”

Page 92: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

6: “Hey, great party! We’re gonna go back to our ship now! See ya!”

Arie: “H-hey, wait! We need you!”

Gabie: “Later! It’s been fun!”

Page 93: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “…”

Arie: “…”

Lara: “Well, so much for that.”

Matthew: “…that puts us at a major disadvantage. We’re going to be very weak on the inside. I was hoping to spread my pack out between the outdoors vampire fight and the indoors witch fight, but I guess I’ll station them all indoors.”

Page 94: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “We’ve been training during the day. We’re ready to take on whatever comes at us. And get back at those vampires for taking Jessica and Priya from us.”

Arie: “Remember Matthew, this isn’t about revenge.”

Matthew: “It will be, once this legacy is over.”

Page 95: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “So that just leaves protection of the VIP’s.”

Bay: “Eh? Excuse me?”

Matthew: “We’ll need to put the young, the old, the heir, and the spouse in a defensible place, and then I’ll station two or three of my wolves around them. I’ll ask the leaders how many of each faction can be spared for more guardians. We’ll get the good witches to put up defense charms on the doors, too. Any ideas on where we can put them?”

Bay: “Now wait just a minute, I want to—”

Page 96: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “It’ll need to be in the middle of the house, away from any doors. Preferably windowless.”

Matthew: “The kitchen.”

Arie: “Either that or the bathroom. Both would work.”

Page 97: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “Hey, now wait a minute! I’m the heir, I’m responsible for the safety of this legacy! I don’t want to just hide!”

June: “Right! …but I have to admit, at least they gave us the dignity of the kitchen.”

Alexandra: “There’s still time to switch rooms. Keep on complaining. We’re only trying to keep you safe.”

Page 98: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “Matthew. I will not stand here and let things happen to us. I will be involved in keeping my wife, my children, and my family safe.”

June: “I keep telling you, there will be only ONE child!!”

Matthew: “…”

Page 99: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Matthew: “…I can’t guarantee your safety, Bay.”

Bay: “Understood.”

Matthew: “Take care of yourself. You’re kind of the key to all this. Don’t take any unnecessary risks. ”

Bay: “I won’t.”

Page 100: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

June: “Bay—”

Bay: “I’ll be fine. Trust me. Just one more day. Love you, June.”

June: “You’re an idiot, and you’re going to get yourself killed, but you should do what you think is best. You better come back to me.”

Bay: “Don’t worry. I have a secret weapon.”

Page 101: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 102: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Clary: “I hope you know you’re a complete idiot.”

Bay: “June said as much.”

Clary: “But seriously. You should be leaving defense to me and everybody else who’s assembled here, you know, to protect you. Plus, June, you know, your wife, is about to have a baby, and instead of being with her, you’re going to perform guard duty?”

Bay: “I’m the heir. If I’m not out protecting my family, what use am I?”

Page 103: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Clary: “Well, ready for this, you dummy?”

Bay: “What kind of dummy am I? A store mannequin, or a crash test dummy?”

Clary: “Ha ha, very funny.”

Bay: “…no. I’m not really ready. I just wish we could live in peace.”

Page 104: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Sanjay: “Sun’s going down. You two had best go inside.”

Clary: “Picture this, Sanjay: a lone werewolf standing outside at night when a whole loathe of vampires shows up with murder on the brain.”

Sanjay: “You two are normal sims, ergo vulnerable. These things didn’t blink an eye at taking out our best warrior, one of our Alphas, and your sister. I don’t want either of you outside.”

Bay: “You’re not going to try and take revenge for Priya, are you? We’re supposed to leave the vampire fighting to the plantsims, remember?”

Page 105: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Sanjay: “Go already!”

Bay: “We are not leaving without you. Sorry.”

Clary: “Uh… Bay…”

Page 106: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “I… guess there’s not much chance of that being a normal flock of bats, is there?”

Page 107: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Plantsim: “What are all of you still doing out here!? RUN!!”

Page 108: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Romi: “Nuh-uh, not so fast.”

Clary: “BAY!!”

Page 109: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

William: “Do you think you’re going to stop me from going in, plantsim? I can do whatever I want.”

Romi: “Aren’t you cute. I’m going to enjoy this.”

Vampire: “That was remarkably easy. Just one gen-nine left to go, then, and also this one’s wife.”

Page 110: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Romi: “Oof!”

Page 111: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Clary: “Where did you learn that!?”

Bay: “Grandma Ella was trained by a ninja!”

Clary: “What does that have to do with anything!?”

Page 112: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Romi: “Whoa, hey! I’m trapped!”

William: “Curse these plantsims.”

Contessa: “Now, everyone. Split.”

Page 113: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

William: “Surely I can just fly over this hedge.”

Plantsim: “Not without going through us first, you’re not!”

Page 114: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Hattie: “It’s really too bad we can’t just burn the house down, like we did Peachtree Valley. What with all the witches in there who can just wave a wand and evaporate the fire away before it gets big enough to do any damage.”

Arc: “It’s just as well. If at all possible, I demand the justice of killing them myself.”

Page 115: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Hattie: “So, we have the vampires blocking the exits, both front and back. No one leaves without going through them—and no witches step outside to cast a sunlight spell without being ripped apart.”

Arc: “Correct.”

Hattie: “And they stationed plantsims on both those exits, who have grown hedges in front of the doors for extra defense.”

Arc: “Also correct.”

Page 116: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Hattie: “And in the meantime, my witches work on those blasted shields around the house. When they’re down, we’ll just be able to magivestigium right in.”

Arc: “Do you have a way of pinpointing where each member of the household is?”

Hattie: “No. We’ll just have to search the old-fashioned way: room by room, and deal with werewolves, witches, and whatever else they might have stationed inside.”

Arc: “That should be no problem. Once the wards are down, we’ll be able to send in our surprise.”

Page 117: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Hattie: “I’m still against using them, you know. This is cruel, even for you.”

Arc: “Think of it as… poetic justice.”

Page 118: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Clary: “The vampires are here, and I think I saw some magivestigium glows back there, too.”

*BANG*

Arie: “They’re working on taking down the wards, then. This won’t be long. Get into position, Clary. You’re in the dining room with Matthew, Sanjay, and Neffy. Bay, you guard the kitchen door right here with us.”

Bay: “Right. Baltic, Julien, and Zircon are in the parlor, right?”

Page 119: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “Right. They’ll be running interference if anyone gets through the front door.”

Zircon: “Neffy was right all along. If we’d neutralized Arc when he killed our father, none of this would’ve happened! My wife and son would still be alive!”

Julien: “Careful, man. Breathe.”

*BOOM*

Baltic: {I sure hope Seraphine stays away from all this…}

Page 120: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

*BANG*

Neffy: “I hope he does come through here. Because when he does, I’m going to KILL him! I should NEVER have let Spar talk me out of finding justice for my dad!”

*CRACK*

Matthew: “There goes the wards. Be ready. Remember, that door is locked, but it’s still a liability. Defend it first; revenge comes second. Both of you.”

Page 121: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Witch: “They’re down, Hattie. All clear.”

Arc: “Good. Both of you go in and take out as many of them as you can find. Hattie, it’s time to unleash our weapon.”

Page 122: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Witch: “Come on, then. Time to go.”

Page 123: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 124: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

William: “Ah, here we are.”

Page 125: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 126: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “Where are we? There aren’t any legacy members here!”

Witch: “Looks like the master bedroom, don’t it? Nice bug collection.”

Page 127: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “Oh, I’ve got my work cut out for me… where would they be hiding…”

Witch: “Well, I’m done for the night. See ya.”

Page 128: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “Is it too much to ask for just one of these dark witches to be really, honestly helpful? Seriously.”

Page 129: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: {I’m going to guess… this way.}

Page 130: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: {WRONG WAY!!}

William: “Well, hello there. I don’t believe we’ve met. You’re a legacy member, are you?”

Page 131: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “A bat just flew into the house!!”

Zircon: “WHAT!? I thought they couldn’t do that!! We were just supposed to be up against witches and Arc!”

Baltic: “I know what I saw! Come on, we’ve got to warn the others! Julien, come on!”

Page 132: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Zircon: “Oh gosh, there he is!”

Baltic: “Seraphine!?”

Seraphine: “Baltic! STAY AWAY!!”

Page 133: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 134: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

There will be a great battle of magic and blood. You, Baltic, will leave safety to challenge death. Parent and child will be reunited, and death will inhabit flesh as life meets its end in fire.

Page 135: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 136: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “HEY!!”

William: “Hm? What’s this?”

Seraphine: “Baltic, NO!!”

Page 137: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

William: “Ow. That really hurt. Come on, can’t you hit harder than that?”

Seraphine: “Baltic, what are you DOING!?”

Baltic: “RUN, Seraphine!! I’ll distract him! You can get away!!”

Page 138: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 139: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Baltic: “ARGH!”

Page 140: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “OH, thank goodness.”

Chantelle: “You’re not a witch… how did you get in here!?”

Page 141: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “That’s really not important. Listen, I have to warn you—”

Arie: “Why should we listen to you if we don’t know who you are? How do we know you’re not here to distract us?”

Seraphine: “LISTEN!!”

Page 142: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “Arc has spent the last day raising an army of ZOMBIES!!”

Page 143: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “Why else do you think he would slaughter an entire town full of harmless spares!?”

Page 144: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “But how?”

Chantelle: “GAH! Hattie can raise the dead! Why didn’t we anticipate that!?”

Arie: “Because we’re not twisted, that’s why.”

Seraphine: “Um… they’re kind of, you know, on their way at this very moment… and he’s sort of going to get really mad and kill me if he sees me here, plus Baltic is kind of in a fight for his life against a vampire, so I better go…”

Page 145: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “Why don’t you hide in the kitchen until this blows over?”

Chantelle: “Interesting choice of words.”

Arie: “Yeah. Go hide in the kitchen. Tell the werewolf and the plantsim in there that we sent you.”

Seraphine: “I can’t do that. Baltic—”

Page 146: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Sanjay: “Where?”

Julien: “Here! I see them!”

Sanjay: “We’re on it!”

Seraphine: “Wait. You’ll help? What are you getting out of it?”

Page 147: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “Us? We get to know our family is safe. Now hightail it into that kitchen. We’re going to trust you, since you came here to warn us, but so help me, if you hurt anyone in there…”

Seraphine: “I won’t. You have my word.”

Sanjay: *howl*

Arie: “Good enough. Go.”

Page 148: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 149: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “Um… hi. The people in the hall sent me?”

Alexandra: “Oh, yeah. Sure. That’s a really creative story.”

June: “Ugh. …oh.”

Phoenix: “What’s up?”

Page 150: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

June: “It’s no—”

Page 151: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

June: “OW!!”

Page 152: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “Bay? I don’t care about your philosophies. Get out of here.”

Bay: “Um… that might be kind of difficult…”

Page 153: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay/Sun: “HALT!!”

Page 154: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 155: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Hattie: “Hm. You don’t see that every day. Since when was that kid a high-ranking vampire?”

Arc: “Leave my zombies alone, will you? I worked very hard to get them, and I don’t need you ordering them around.”

Page 156: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “Now get out of my way. I need to get into that kitchen immediately.”

Page 157: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

June: “Ow… ow… ow… ow!!”

Alexandra: “Deep breaths, June. It’s gonna be okay. It’ll be over in just a minute.”

June: “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!? I’M GOING TO KILL HIM!!”

Page 158: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “Oh, this is painful!”

June: “YOU think it’s painful!?”

Spar: “What is?”

Seraphine: “The waiting! We’re sitting ducks in here!”

Page 159: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “…?”

Spar: “What?”

Seraphine: “Uh, it’s nothing.”

Page 160: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “It’s just… you look a lot like these pictures I once saw.”

Page 161: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “What is it with you!? You’re always there! Always meddling, always whisking people away right before I can get to them! Standing between me and doors! Why!?”

Page 162: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “There’s this thing called ‘family loyalty,’ Arc. You wouldn’t understand. I am going to protect my family at all costs—all the way to the end!”

Page 163: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “What is it now!?”

Page 164: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “Children of Snow? Perhaps… Snow White?”

Seraphine: “One going to pwotect bwother’s famwy, for ten genewations. Aaaaaall way to end. Chiwd of Snow make it happeeeeen~! Hehehe!!”

Page 165: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “It was never Baltic, was it!?”

Arie: “What are you even talking about? You’re crazy, you know that?”

Page 166: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Chantelle: *whispering* “Just a little bit longer, Arie. Keep distracting him. June’s child is almost born.”

Arie: “On that note, what is your problem, anyway!? You know that we had nothing to do with Anne’s death! That was Merry! And you know what? You’ve already taken revenge on her! So what’s the deal!? Why keep coming after us!?”

Page 167: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “You really think just killing Merry is going to make up for it!? I am still in pain over it every single day! You could have prevented it! You were only two houses down! You could have called the firemen, something! But you let them DIE!”

Hattie: “Hm…”

Arie: “Arc, WE DIDN’T KNOW!!”

Page 168: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “You never looked out a window? You never smelled any smoke!? HA! Now, step out of my way of that door, or I’ll set my zombies on you right now. Once you’re all dead, maybe Anne will finally be at peace.”

Page 169: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Chantelle: “Spar, what are you doing!? Go back inside!”

Arc: “…Spar? What is this? Spar is dead. Stop trying to confuse me.”

Spar: “…Dad?”

Page 170: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “You are really scum, you know that? Going out and finding a grown lookalike of my dead toddler son, just to confuse me? This changes nothing.”

Spar: “I… Dad? No, it couldn’t be. You’re right. I’m leaving.”

Page 171: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Phoenix: “Dad? What’s going on? Why did you come out here? Don’t leave me alone!”

Spar: “PHOENIX! Get back in there!”

Arc: “I—”

Page 172: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “It—it can’t be… she looks like…”

Page 173: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “This, this changes nothing. You’re just trying to confuse me. Zombies? Kill them all. …actually, kill them all except that girl.”

Page 174: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 175: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “…um?”

Page 176: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “NO!! What are you doing!? Come back!! KILL THEM!!”

Chantelle: “Hehehe… that’s what you get for trusting a dark witch.”

Arc: “WHAT!?”

Page 177: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Hattie: “Arctos White, you are under arrest for the murder of Latimeria White, and involvement in the murder of Pearl Jalowitz. You will face punishment for your crimes against my order; I’ll see to it personally.”

Arc: “WHAT!?”

Page 178: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “Seriously? You go to all this trouble, murdering an entire town, raising a zombie army, working with him all this time, only to betray and arrest him now? What gives?”

Bay: “Aunt Arie, are you seriously complaining?”

Page 179: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Hattie: “Well, it did give us an excuse to fight Chantelle’s order in a rather spectacular way. And it meant that most of this troublesome legacy got wiped out without taking direct blame. Also, I needed a confession to make sure the Dark Council would convict him.”

Page 180: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Hattie: “Also it was fun. Incredibly fun.”

Page 181: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Bay: “Alright, well, I’m going in to help my wife. ‘Scuse me.”

Page 182: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Romi: “Um… guys? Are they supposed to be leaving?”

Page 183: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Romi: “Huh!?”

Page 184: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

21: “Hey, everyone! I finally got the controls working!!”

6: “Yes! About time! Pick up all those party-pooping vampires, huh? We’ve got a new habitat all picked out for them.”

Gabie: “I picked it myself; I’m sure they’ll like it. Ehehehe. It has two suns.”

Vis: “You’re so cute when you’re evil, Gabie. But you know, it also has lots of caves. They’ll have a chance, at least.”

Page 185: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Hattie: “Now, then. If you’ll excuse us, I have a council meeting to arrange, and Arc has a dank little dungeon to rot in. We’ll be going now.”

Page 186: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “…”

Page 187: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “NO!!”

Page 188: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arie: “HEY!! WHOA!! STOP HIM!!”

Page 189: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “Seraphine.”

Seraphine: “Arc.”

Arc: “When did you get here?”

Page 190: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Arc: “Oh, it doesn’t matter.”

Seraphine: “Ugh… what…”

Page 191: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “ARGH!”

Page 192: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 193: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2
Page 194: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

Seraphine: “…what just happened?”

Grim: “So. Seraphine. Let’s talk.”

Page 195: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

June: “Told you there would only be one.”

Page 196: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

June: “Her name is Wynter. Wynter White.”

Page 197: The White Legacy--Generation 9, Chapter 2

The End
