    . Our Fair is heldon the Middle School stage and not onlyhelps fill the classrooms and library withbooks but also helps raise funds for our school.

    We need volunteers for both mornings and afternoons. You should have received avolunteer sign-up form in your childs book bag. If not, please complete a form at receptionor contact the POW Book Fair chair Cynthia Reece at [email protected]. Volun-teer opportunities include: set up, teacher preview, student preview, overflow and family

    shopping, student purchases, closing/packing.

    Clip Those BoxTops for Education

    Clip and save the labelsfrom some of your favorite

    products. Send them inyour childs book bag ordrop them off in one of thecollection boxes at recep-tion in both buildings.Each label is worth tencents. These dimes canreally add up fast!

    Kroger Plus CardScan Code Update

    Did you know that you needto update your Kroger Plus Card

    every year? That is, you need to geta new barcode scanned and attachedto your card so that Westview contin-ues to get the proceeds from yourpurchases. Please come by recep-tion to pick up a form with this yearscustomer barcode. You may thenattach it to your card next time youshop at Kroger.

    Please join the Westview teachers and staff for Open House. It is a great way to

    learn more about the school, get to know your childs teacher and see what is go-

    ing on in the classroom. This is an adults only night. Westview prides itself on

    parent involvement PLEASE try your best to be there.

    In an effort to begin creating the centerpieces and decorations for the annual

    fundraising luncheon, Mrs. Brochstein (the art teacher) requests that parents

    please bring the following items to the art room in the 1830 building:

    White egg shells that have been cleaned (shells can be broken apart, but not

    crushed)

    Dry cleaning pants hangersEmpty cardboard cereal boxes

    Thin tree branches/twigs (approximately 1-1.5 feet long)

    Volunteers to cut cardboard butterflies

    Mrs. B will be accepting the items throughout the month of September and firsthalf of October, and welcomes parent volunteers to help with cutting and con-

    struction of decorations during this time as well.
