The Vikings
Vikings were from Scandinavia: Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Viking warriors attacked seaside villages for gold and silver. Viking families settled down in England, Scotland and France. For the first time the Vikings explored Iceland, Greenland and Russia. The Vikings also reached North America.
Viking ships
Viking ships were marine vessels of particular designs used and built by the Vikings themselves during the Viking Age. They were big and strong. They could carry up to 200 people, animals and vessels.
Viking weapons
Vikings made weapons. The poor soldiers had only knives and spears and wealthier Vikings wore metal helmets and they had sharp swords. Vikings loved their Swords very much and they called them names.
