For the last 10 years we’ve organised food fights in 20 countries across Europe before a massive cook off in front of the public at the final of the annual European Street Food Awards. The first ever USA Street Food Awards will showcase the best tasting, most creative food entrepreneurs – old and new – working the streets of America. We’ve joined forces with Food Fleet, one of the largest providers of mobile and pop-up solutions in the US, to raise the rallying cry and find the best of the best to park up and cook at one of our national heats.
That’s where the American people will get to try the competitors’ dishes and join our judges in deciding who will go through to the big finals. There are more than 23,000 food trucks in the USA – so choosing the American champion won’t be easy…

About Us
■ 2010 we launched the British Street Food Awards. It now has six regional heats and a national final. In 2019 it attracted an audience of more than 45,000 people.
■ 2017 we launched the European Street Food Awards – nine countries competed at the finals in Berlin.

And according to Technomic, a research firm specializing in the food- service industry, sales for the food truck sector are currently growing about 15% annually, compared with around 5% a year for the casual dining sector.
■ As of March 2019, IBISWorld estimated there are more than 23,000 food trucks in the USA – choosing a winner in the inaugural 2020 USA Street Food Awards will not be easy…
■ Street food is also getting better – Michelin (finally) condescended to give its first star to a street food trader. The world’s new food heroes have turned the streets into a laboratory for hot new food ideas proving that good food doesn’t always come with silverware and napery. We don’t want ‘starter-main course-dessert’ any more. We want tasting plates, pop-ups and a bit of fun instead. Flirty, low-commitment dining.
