Our students enjoy playing and practice privileges as members at this facility, as well as discounted prices on merchandise.
Over 7000 yards from the tips, PCGC offers both target and links golf experiences. The practice area includes a 360-yard driving range with multiple tees, a putting green, and a chipping green with bunkers.
PCGC is also a site of the Playing Ability Test required to complete the program. As a Nike Concept Store, the golf shop operates as a “PGA Model Shop.” The clubhouse includes a full-service restaurant.

The University of Colorado at Colorado SpringsA member of the multi-campus University of Colorado System, UCCS is an accredited undergraduate and graduate institution with 8,000 students.
Located in a growing metropolitan region with a population of 600,000 at the foot of renowned Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs averages 320 days of sunshine, providing great weather for golf and many other outdoor activities, including more than ten world-famous winter resorts within easy driving distance.
The PGA Golf Management Student Society
As members of the Student Society, all PGA Golf Management Program students have the opportunity to participate in its tournaments, social activities, professional meetings, and service projects. In addition, many leadership positions are available, including President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Tournament Chair, as well as representatives from each class.
Each semester, the PGA Golf Management Program conducts at least ten student tournaments in various formats at Pine Creek Golf Club and other facilities in the area. The events include regular stroke play (with two tours), an all-program match play championship, the Challenge Cup that pits a freshman-only team against the rest, the Miller Cup in which teams from all classes compete, and major tournaments, including the Master’s and the PGA. One team of fi ve is selected to represent UCCS in the Jones Cup that draws participants from all PGA Golf Management Programs around the country. Besides fun and competition, the events provide opportunities for experience in organizing and conducting tournaments. They also hone the skills needed to pass the Playing Ability Test.
The PGA Golf Management Student Society organizes the annual Family and Friends Tournament in May of each year. This outing brings together the students, their families, and friends of the program from the Colorado Springs community. It also precedes the annual end of the year banquet that honors the graduates and the many other accomplishments of the students. Importantly, it helps provide funds for the Society’s support of the program and its objectives.

PGA Golf Management Program Facilities
The PGA Golf Management Program is housed in the recently renovated Dwire Hall. The PGA Golf Management Program has its own suite of offi ces, a student resource room, and conference room. Located conveniently in the PGM Program area are both the state-of-the-art Swing and Club Repair Labs. The PGA Golf Management Program at UCCS is one of only three programs in the country with an indoor computerized practice facility. The equipment in the swing lab was graciously donated by Denver–based GolfTEC whose patented g-SWING System is unique in the golf industry. This system offers a fact-based approach that eliminates the guesswork in the instruction process by using digital video, motion analysis, biofeedback and comparing the student’s swing to a tour database. Students can use the system to receive instruction and for daily practice.
The PGA Golf Management Program Management Team
The PGA Golf Management Program is led and managed by the Program Director, Academic Advisor, Internship Coordinator, Executive Assistant, and Student Assistant. This group includes two PGA members, a senior business faculty member, and an experienced administrator. Their style is to treat all students as important individuals, seeking to fi rst understand their needs and goals, and then guide them as they prepare for their future careers. Their commitment to quality is evident in the fact that the PGA granted full accreditation to the program after only four years of operation.
