Life as a student at at the Cheshire campus Our current students talk about social lifeand the students union on campus.

Campus andAccommodation Tours:Tours run every 15 minutes throughout theOpen Day. Collect a ticket from the desk onthe stage in the Student Zone. Toursinclude Booth halls of residence and takeapproximately 40 minutes. Information on all halls of residence is available fromthe Accommodation stand. Additional toursof Barlow, Davenport or Harley Hall areavailable on request.

Contemporary Arts Tours:View our departmental facilities with astudent ambassador. Tours depart at 11,12, 1, 2 and 3 from the Contemporary ArtsBuilding foyer. Tours last 30 minutes.

Exercise and SportScience Tours:Take a tour of our new sports facilities.Tours depart at 11.15, 12.15, 1.15, 2.15 and3.15 from the Exercise and Sport ScienceCentre reception. Tours last 30 minutes.

Introduction to Exercise and SportScience coursesWelcome to one of the most successfulsport and exercise centres in the UK. Gainan overview of all the routes and courseoptions within the department.

Introduction to Teaching and Education coursesAn introduction to all Faculty of Educationcourses which can lead to careers in teaching,early years, youth and community work.

Library Tours:Self-guided tours are available throughoutthe day. Collect a tour leaflet from thelibrary reception and explore the library at atime that suits you.

RefreshmentsFood and drinks are available on campusfrom the Student Zone and the Students'Union coffee shop.

Health & SafetyFire AlarmIf at any time during the Open Day you hear a continuous alarm, please leave thebuilding by the nearest fire exit. StudentAmbassadors and staff will ensure that youare guided to the nearest exit and fireassembly point.

Illness or AccidentIf you feel ill or require first aid, please notifya member of staff or a StudentAmbassador.

Children under 16For health and safety reasons there may be restrictions for children under the age of16 years gaining access to certain parts ofthe University’s buildings, they mayaccompany parents or guardians to theexhibition areas, but must be kept underclose and constant supervision.

Travelling to MMUTravel by trainA Student Ambassador will meet you atCrewe train station and a mini bus will takeyou to the Cheshire campus (this service isavailable until 12.00 pm). Return mini bustrips will be available, report to mainreception if you would like to use thisservice. Alternatively, the campus is a 10minute walk from Crewe Station. Onleaving the station turn right, cross theroad, pass the petrol station and crossMacon Way. Walk down Crewe Green Roadpast the fire station and the Cheshirecampus can be found on your left.

Travelling by carThe Cheshire campus is signposted fromJunction 16 of the M6 motorway. CreweCampus is 6 miles/10km from Junction 16,following the A500 (A5020). Car parking islimited at the Cheshire campus, and wewould encourage all visitors to travel bypublic transport if possible. If you do travelby car, parking is charged at 30p per hourand no permit is required.
