FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER YEAR B

Confident that “God is with usand that we will receive at his hands whatever we ask,”let us pray:

• For our parish community, that we may be a rich and vibrant branch of Christ the Vine:let us pray to the Lord. (Pause) Lord hear us. (Ʀ) Lord graciously hear us.

• For the bishops, priests, and ministers of our Church, that they may be agents of God’s reconciling love:let us pray to the Lord. (Pause) Lord hear us. (Ʀ) Lord graciously hear us.

• For all Christian Churches and communities, that they may be faithful to the love and peace of Godboth “in deed and in truth”:let us pray to the Lord. (Pause) Lord hear us. (Ʀ) Lord graciously hear us.

• For families and households, that they may know the joy of this Easter seasonin every season of every year:let us pray to the Lord. (Pause) Lord hear us. (Ʀ) Lord graciously hear us.

• We pray for those who dedicate themselves to God in the religious life. We for religious sisters who work in the parishes, those who teach, and those who dedicate themselves to God in the contemplative life. Thaty they may continue in their apostolate with deep faith, and we pray for vocations to the religious life. let us pray to the Lord. (Pause) Lord hear us. (Ʀ) Lord graciously hear us.

• That the sick, especially

and anyone who needs our prayers at this timewill discover, in our compassion and care, the healing presence of God:let us pray to the Lord. (Pause) Lord hear us. (Ʀ) Lord graciously hear us.

• For the souls of our deceased relatives and friendsthat they may live on in the life of the Risen Christ:let us pray to the Lord. (Pause) Lord hear us. (Ʀ) Lord graciously hear us.

• For the prayers we now offer in the silence of our heartslet us pray to the Lord. (Pause) Lord hear us. (Ʀ) Lord graciously hear us.

• Let us ask Our Blessed Lady to intercede for us as we say, Hail Mary….

Hear our Easter prayers, 0 Lord.May your words forever be a part of us;may your peace forever reign over us;may your love forever unite us as your children. We ask this in the name of your Son,our Risen Saviour, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spiritas the one God for ever and ever. Amen.
