Hello Fellow Members,
Can you believe the Holidays are almost here, where does the time go? A lot has been going on the last few weeks and even more activities coming up. There have been many car shows that CKCC members have been attending, winning and representing our fine club and it is good to see the support that fellow CKCC members give to each other after a win. A great show was held by Space Coast Vettes in Downtown Melbourne on the 18th of October, CKCC brought home 11 of the 25 trophies that were given and also the Club Participation award. It sure makes you proud to be a part of such a wonderful club!

November 2014
Sunday the 26th CKCC members met to take our club photo, we thank Don Mennillo for arranging the site at one of the Space Center’s launching pad, Roger Wolf for taking the photos and all of you who got up so early to make the day a huge success. After the picture taking we went to Brano’s restaurant on Cocoa beach and had a wonderful brunch, they opened an hour early for us and we had the place all to ourselves, the weather was wonderful and the company even better!
A few weeks ago we had the annual Beach house BBQ thanks to the kind offering by Lloyce for the use of her beach house. The weather couldn’t have been any better, food was delicious, games were fun, and if you had a sweet tooth you were at the right place! I hope everyone had a great time and we look forward to this event every year.
One of the upcoming events that we have is probably one of the most rewarding and fun things of the year. It is the annual Christmas Toy Run that will be held on December 6th starting from Eckler’s new facility on Grissom Rd. and ending at the port. This event benefits so many children that may not be able to have much of a Christmas because we all bring an unwrapped toy worth $20 or if you would rather, gift cards or cash are accepted and will go towards the children. Our secretary Kristy is always in charge of this and does a wonderful job organizing everything including the police escort that let us run all the red lights! Santa and the Cape Canaveral fire department meet us at the Port to collect all the toys and are extremely grateful for our offerings. Also I find it is a great time to wear all your silly Christmas stuff!
Please mark your calendars for the CKCC Christmas party on Saturday, December 13th. It is the time of the year that we can all get decked out in our finest and enjoy a wonderful evening of good friends, good food and dancing. We have a special DJ this year that is going to rock the house and are looking forward to a great party to end a spectacular year.
One last thing, at the October meeting it was determined who the board for 2015 will be and they are:
Neena McAfee – President Don Mennillo –Vice President Kristy Halkovic – Secretary Pete Johnson – Treasurer Brenda Teixeira – NCCC Governor Kevin Charles – Competition Director For another year we have a strong and active working board of which I am very proud to be a part of, without these people and of course you the members our club wouldn’t be as successful and fun as it is. Thank you all! Neena
