Entries close on 04 September 2019. This will not be extended and any entries postmarked

after this date will not be accepted and be returned.

A PHOTO of EACH dog entered, clearly identifying the registered name of the dog

must be e-mailed to the Secretary at the same time of Posting the entry, to be re-

ceived NO later than 04 September 2019. This is for printing within the catalogue.

ANNUAL DINNER DANCE & PRESENTATIONS

The Club’s Annual Dinner and Presentation will be held following the Newfoundland of the

Year Competition. This is a Black Tie event (lounge Suits accepted). A menu is enclosed for

your perusal. Please remember if you have any special dietary requirements or seating

arrangements, write them on the menu choices form. A cheque for the correct amount made

out to the Southern Newfoundland Club must be enclosed with the booking.

Please note: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ENTER The Newfoundland of the Year Competition to

come to watch, or attend the Dinner, Dance & Presentations.

We welcome Members, Non-Members and guests to come along and join us as spectators at

the prestigious event of Newfoundland of the Year. There is no charge for admission to

spectators for the Contest. (Please respect the dress code for this event).

Hotel rooms pre-bookable, including Breakfast. Dogs are allowed in the room at a charge.

Quote Southern Newfoundland Club Newfoundland of the Year for special rates.

Please send a cheque payable to the The Southern Newfoundland Club, including the names of

the attendees and your menu choices. If you have any special dietary requirements or seating

arrangements please give details on the form provided. Please remember to put YOUR name,

TELEPHONE number and E-MAIL on the form cearly printed.

Closing date for the Dinner/Dance only tickets, is 04 September 2019; however, please do not

leave it to the last minute as we may be over subscribed again.

Bookings for the Dinner, Dance & Presentations can only be accepted up to 04 September 2019 inclusive.

Please state which contest you are entering. You may only enter ONE. Qualifying criteria cover 01 January 2018-31 August 2019:

UK registered dogs qualify in Europe by gaining a CACIB, CAC, Res CACIB, Green Star or a Res Green Star.

IF YOU ARE ATTENDING THE DINNER AND DANCE WITHOUT ENTERING THE

COMPETITION

VETERAN COMPETITION – for dogs aged 7 years and over. Winners of Veteran classes at any Breed Club or General Championship shows, Breed Club Open Shows, Championship Shows and winners of BVIS/RBVIS at Open Shows. In addition any

Veteran that has a Stud Book Number irrespective of when was last shown.

PUPPY COMPETITION - for dogs aged between 6mths-12mths at time of qualification. Winners of Minor Puppy and Puppy classes at any Breed Club or

General Championship shows whether there are CCs, Green Stars or CACIBs/CACs on offer or

not, also Breed Club Open shows. Plus winners of Best Puppy in Breed at Championship Shows

or Best/Reserve Best Puppy in Show at Open Shows.

YEARLING COMPETITION ! for dogs aged between 12mths-24mths at time of

qualification. Winners of Challenge Certificate, CACIB, CAC and Green Star, Reserve

Challenge Certificate, Reserve CACIB and Reserve Green Star at any Breed

Club or General Championship shows in the UK. Plus, Best of Sex and Reserve Best of

Sex at any Breed Club Open shows, also General Championship shows whether or not

there are Challenge Certificates or CACs are on offer. All 1st prize winners in

Junior or Yearling class at the above shows.

ADULT COMPETITION - Winners of Challenge Certificates, CAC, CACIB and Green Stars, Reserve Challenge Certificate, Reserve CACIB and Reserve Green Star at any Breed Club or

General Championship shows. Plus, Best of Sex and Reserve Best of Sex at any Breed

Club Open or Breed Club Championship shows. Winners of a Stud Book Number.

If your dog, qualified in puppy and is above 15mths of age on the day of the contest you can

only enter them in the Yearling or Open Contest. Age dependent on the day of the Contest.

If your puppy, also qualified for the Yearling or Adult Competition you may decide if you wish to enter either the Puppy OR the Yearling OR Adult Competition. You can only

enter ONE competition with each dog.
