On Sunday evening January 28, and in observance of The Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27, 23 are pleased to welcome Dr. Walter Pories, Founding Chair of the Department of Surgery at East Carolina University and currently the Director of the Bariatric Surgery Research Group. Dr. Pories will share his childhood experience living in Germany in 1939 and his familys narrow escape from certain death in the concentration camp at Dachau. The gathering will be at 6:30 pm in the churchs fellowship hall. Attention Ladies! (Teens & Adults) Remember to sign up for the Prayer Retreat at the Duke River House in Bath. There is a sign-up sheet in the fellowship hall or you can contact Frankie, Elaine, Christie or call the church office. Remember $10.00 for your lunch needs to be paid to Frankie by Friday, Feb. 2. On Saturday, all those attending will meet at the church at 8:30 am to carpool to Bath. The retreat starts at 9:30 am. We hope everyone will be a part of this special time. February 3, 2018
