• Formed to help the Government in identifying and treating TB patients.

• Received financial aid from Social Welfare Lottery Sales

• Set up TB sanatoriums to isolate TB patients

• In Perak, MAPTB has 9 braches in the 9 districts

• MAPTB work closely with State Health Departments

• Made of administrative committee members

• Ex-officio from health department, welfare and education department

• Members pay minimal subscription

• Elections held to elect office-bearer.

• Committee meetings at regular intervals
