FLEXIBLE DECK LAY OUTWith the use of deck girders clearance between the deck and the bottom of the monopile can be created. In this way containers can be handled underneath the stored monopiles. The system is designed to be able to distribute loads into different strong point configurations efficiently. This makes it possible to be used on different types of vessels and barges.

STACKINGThe monopiles rest on rubber pads. These rubber pads are of a durable material and meet the friction requirements. Despite its durability, the pads are likely to be damaged during a project. The rubber pads of the Vickas can be replaced easily. There are no special tools required and the time consumption is very limited.

CAPACITYVickas is designed to carry monopiles with maximum weight of 1,350 mT. In this case a ballast division between two Vickas cradles of 30/70 is assumed. Higher loads can be anticipated in case a more balanced (e.g. 45/55) can be realized. One Vickas cradle can support the weight of +/- 950 mT.

REPLACEABLE RUBBER PADSVickas is designed to make stacking possible. The above mentioned design criteria and motions are applicable to the stacked configuration as well.

SKIDDING POSSIBLEMost offshore cranes are unable to take the load of the monopiles at every storage location. For this purpose many transport and installation contractors choose for a skidding solution. The monopiles are skidded into reach of the deck crane for further upending. The Vickas is designed to make the skidding operation possible.

The monopiles are hold into position on friction only. There is no need for further strapping.
