ITE M 4. 10 ; CITY MANAGER' S REPORT MARCH 6, 2017 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING ITEM: OUT- OF- STATE TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION REQUEST FOR THE INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA RECOMMENDATION: Adopt a Resolution Authorizing Out- of- State Travel for the Public Works Department Projects and Programs Manager to Attend the International Code Council Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada SUMMARY: The Public Works Department is requesting City Council to approve out- of- state travel for the City' s Projects and Programs Manager for the International Code Council Conference ( ICC) in Las Vegas, Nevada. This training is necessary for the Projects and Programs Manager to become a certified building inspector to assist the Building Division with building inspections during times of heavy workload. At this time the ICC Conference is the only training available and is out- of- state. Therefore, Council' s authorization for the out- of- state travel for the Public Works Projects and Programs Manager to attend the ICC Conference from March 20, 2017 thru March 24, 2017 is needed. SUMMARY:
