Hedgehog fetches thekeys, Bird gets the ball and Racoon cleans thebath until it shines. But even woodland animalscan’t do all that without payment. Different roles of adultpersonalities will be distinguishedfrom: "Adults as slapstick-heroes"until "Adults as antagonist/reasonfor conflict". It will be discussedhow many adult characters a children's film can handle,whether it is easier to create adultsas stereotypes or as charactersand a lot more. The focus of theseminar is on films from the lastfive years, but we will alsoendeavor a short journey throughthe history of children's film. TANJA MILIčTANJAIć (Kroatia)was born in 1974 in Pula, Duringher studies she volunteered andworked for several NGOs, whichhas provided her with valuablelife and organizationalexperience.In 2003 she began her lastingcooperation with Pula FilmFestival, where she has beenpermanently employed since2007 as the Festival Producer andsince 2008 as of Cinema Vallimanager. She has been memberof the master working group forthe drafting of the Town of Pulaculture strategy.

TONJE HARDERSEN (Norway)holds a MA in film studies and isworking as an advisor at Film &Kino - The Association ofNorwegian Municipal Cinemas.She has spent most of her timeworking with activities aimed atpromotiong films for children andyouth, but has also been pro-gramme director for TheNorwegian Film Festival inHaugesund. She was alsoPresident of ECFA until her termended this winter.

NIKOLAI SCHULZ (Denmark) is the Head of Programme atBUSTER – Copenhagen InternationalFilm Festival for Children and Youth,which takes place every yeararound September in the capital ofDenmark. He is a film scholar andhas worked for the other Danish filmfestival CPH PIX as well as producedsubtitles for television and worked asa film critic.He loves mainstream as well as arthouse and believes that a good filmmanages to combine entertainmentwith reflection.

LARS FUGLEVIK is trained as ateacher, but has been workingfor the cinema industry since1994, when he did his civililservice promoting films toschools and kindergardens.He is currently working as pro-gramme director for SF Cinema,responisble for five differentcinemas in eastern Norway.

ROALD DYE is a veteran of theNorwegian video industry, wherehe was working from 1982 untilhis retirement this winter. He wassecretary general of the VideoAssociation from 1992 and wasalso the leader of the VideoBusiness Administration. Roaldhas also been a board memberof Film & Kino, Videofestivalenog Kristiansand InternationalChildren's Film Festival.
