Arkay Windows Limited is a leading North London manufacturer of UPVC and aluminium windows, doors and screens, established over 30 years.

Arkay have been recognised for both product quality and management abilities, holding the ISO9001:2008 certification and accredited with BS7412, BS4873, PAS24 and BS7950. Arkay are founding members of FENSA and the Glass and Glazing Federation.

From our factory premises in North London and Watford, we have a production capacity of over 800 windows and doors per week from a diverse range of products. We pride ourselves on our professional, friendly and efficient service, maintaining the highest standard of product quality and workmanship at all times.

Our clients range from smaller building firms such as Fitzgerald & Burke and Kingsbury Construction, to national contractors such as Mulalley & Co and the Apollo Group. We have also worked directly with housing associations such as One Housing and Hornsey Housing and are accomplished at both supplying windows for large contracts and designing & building for smaller bespoke projects.

We manufacture a complete range of products in UPVC and aluminium including casement windows, vertical sliders, tilt & turns, residential doors, commercial doors, patio doors, bi-folding doors, commercial screening and curtain walling from manufacturers such as SAPA, Beaufort, Comar, Synseal and Plastmo. The UPVC frames are completely rigid to prevent warping, twisting and sticking whilst also being impervious to rotting and rusting. UPVC windows are very easy to maintain, you don’t need to sand, file, paint or stain them once they have been expertly fitted. The snug and airtight fit of UPVC windows means they are completely waterproof and also thermally efficient. Our windows are capable of achieving a Window Energy Rating of “A”, and have strong environmental benefits being sustainable and endlessly recyclable. Our UPVC tilt and turn windows are simple and smart with a contemporary style, the optimal choice for easy cleaning and secure ventilation.

In the tilt position, the window allows fresh air to flow in freely at the top while allowing stale air to escape around the sides. When opened inwards from the side, the external sash can be cleaned easily and safely from inside. Our tilt and turn windows are internally beaded as standard, capable of achieving BS7950 for enhanced security and custom-made to your exact specifications. The ability to create wide openings and large areas of glazing with the minimum of breaks makes our UPVC tilt and turn windows the ideal solution when you want to see less of the window and more of the view.

ConfigurationTilt and turn windows can be supplied as a single sash or in a multi-light combination, in a number of colours and woodgrains. The window is opened in tilt mode with the first turn of the handle rather than the second. Using this option gives the flexibility to use additional devices such as ‘caretaker handles’, these will restrict the window to tilt mode only for ventilation, unless a key is inserted into the handle. This means that for safety or security, only authorised persons who have the key can access the turn mode for cleaning. For ease of opening, we offer the option of integrated blind inside the glass unit meaning less cleaning and less space taken up inside your home.

Our composite doors are made up from a rock hard outer fibreglass skin filled with a dense foam material which is extremely thermally efficient, as much as eight times more so than timber. Our doors have been manufactured to last for decades rather than years and will never warp, twist, bow or discolour.

PerformanceAll our glass reinforced doors benefit from the most advanced GRP technologies. They have excellent strength and natural resistance to the elements, reflected in their Secured by Design status. Being GRP treated, allows our doors to withstand everyday knocks and bumps without any visible damage and are impervious to rust and corrosion. Polyester powder coating to BS EN 12206-1:2004 creates a tough white or coloured finish that easily wipes clean and is otherwise maintenance-free. High quality stainless steel hardware ensures smooth and reliable operation, whilst spring-loaded pre-tensioned balances assist in the opening action and hold sashes steadily in place.
