At ARM 2017, two new parallel sessions were introduced: Breast Imaging Summit and Radiographers Session. The Breast Imaging Summit was conducted by the father of mammography – Prof. Laszlo Tabar, a visionary physician, researcher and educator who has contributed significantly in the worldwide fight against breast cancer over the last 40 years.

The dedicated Radiographer Session which ran parallel to the main conference on the 2nd and 3rd day focused on the role and significance of radiographers.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

A social gathering was organized for the companies and speakers whilst networking on a more casual front to share their experience and build stronger relations for the future. The speakers along with the company representatives had a wonderful time learning about the culture of the local community. This dinner held at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural understanding on the evening of November 6th, encouraged the idea of “open doors, open minds” where the guest learned about the tradition and culture of the UAE.
