  • Se spesso ci si interroga sul ruolo del Project Manager le domande si moltiplicano se si parla del ruolo del Bid Manager. Cosa fa il Bid Manager in un team di prevedita? Qual’è il vantaggio per l’azienda? Qual’è il ROI per il cliente? Emanuela de Fazio (CIC Education Director) ci spiegherà come alcuni concetti definiti negli standards del PMI possano supportare il ruolo di Bid Manager. Vedremo come Project Manager e BM sono figure distinte e chiavi nell’implementazione della strategia aziendale pur avendo un’elevato livello di affinità in termini di competenze, capacità ed attitudini Antonio Calabrese (Docente al MIP) ci racconterà come il successo aziendale possa dipendere da una innovativa gestione della conoscenza che migliora le prestazioni del progetto. Cinzia Battazza (Funzionario Responsabile Uff. Acquisti di Astral S.p.A) e Davide Cusano (Funzionario dell’Uff. Gare e Contratti di Astral S.p.A.) ci ilustreranno il punto di vista della PA nella gestione di un procedimento di acquisto di lavori, beni e servizi. Francesca Nobilini (Consulente di IT Governance) ci racconterà come le aziendale possono migliorare la loro capacità competitiva grazie alla figutra chiave del Bid Manager. Tiziana Vignieri (Communication and Media Solution- Client Program Manager, HPE) e Claudio Di Concilio (Advisory & Professional Services - Pursuit Bid Manager, HPE) condivideranno come il ruolo del Bid Manager viene implementato in HPE, quali le sue caratteristiche e le sue competenze, e come esso interagisce con le diverse strutture aziendali di business , di delivery e di funzione.     Project Management and Bid Management to sustain competitiveness and innovation Emanuela De Fazio

    The PMI provides a series of useful standards to support and guarantee the operational efficiency of the organizations, to improve the profitability of the projects and to favor the implementation of the strategy. Any business entity, drawing inspiration from internationally recognized best practices, and depending on the type of market in which it operates and the level of aspiration, draws its own Operational Framework through the definition of its own Value Chain and its own Business Development Model. The Operational Framework composed of structures, processes, systems, organizational culture and all the organizational assets that the organization needs, represents the means by which the organization realizes its competitive positioning and technological excellence objectives by reducing the risks of enterprise and maximizing development opportunities. Project Managers and Bid Managers are distinct figures and keys in the implementation of the corporate mission and have different relevance in the different phases of the business life cycle, despite having a high level of affinity in terms of skills, abilities and attitudes.

    Evolutionary Learning in strategy-project systems Antonio Calabrese

    A recent research funded by PMI explores the gap between the theory and practice of knowledge management in organizations and analyses how learning happens and how knowledge is created. Through a survey of the literature and an analysis of original case-study research, the research group developed a model of learning capability that proceeds exactly as the title implies, not as a line, but as a cycle—from codifying individual knowledge and putting it into practice within a context that values social relationships and networks. The conclusions offer a strategy-project learning model that not only improves current knowledge capabilities, but also develops new ones. In other words, the kind of knowledge management that enhances project performance and ultimately business success.

    Bid Manager role at HPE Tiziana Vignieri e Claudio Di Concilio

    The Bid Manager plays a key role in Corporate organizations in ensuring quality and adherence to policies that impact the solution proposal preparation to be offered to final customers. The objectives for which the Bid Manager is involved in the sales stages are very similar to the Project Manager objectives during the project stage, make all possible to successfully won(BM)/close(PM) an Opportunity(BM)/Project(PM) respecting the timeline, the cost budget and the expected quality. Therefore we can say that the BM is a PM working on a sale stage of the project, whose Proposal, if accepted by the final customer, will produce the issue of the purchase order needed to start the Project delivery phase. This session shows how this role is implemented inside HPE.

    How is Bid Management related to Project Management? What are the differences? Francesca Nobilini

    Today the figure of the Project Manager is increasingly widespread, and if this motivates us and comforts us, we cannot fail to notice that the role of the Bid Manager or of the Proposal Manager should be equally important. Companies need to improve their competitive ability and understand that no project is ever "acquired" through discounted activities. Managing the "delivery" phases of a project depends strictly on understanding the customer's requirements, analysing all the risks to be faced, drawing up effective offers and appropriate contractual conditions.
