SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OF THE SICK: This Sacrament for those suffering serious illness or surgery is available by contacting one of the parish priests at the Parish Office (731-3710) during office hours. In case of serious danger or sudden accident, please call any time. One may also ask for this Sacrament before or after Mass. BAPTISMS: The Sacrament of Baptism is administered every other Sunday at 2:00 PM in the church. Please call the Parish Office (731-3710) for registration and scheduling information. BECOMING A CATHOLIC (RCIA): St. James Parish welcomes any non-Catholic who seeks to enter the Catholic Church or baptized Catholics of any age who have not yet received the other Sacraments. Please call the Parish Center (731-3710). MARRIAGES: Those wishing to be married at St. James should call the Parish Office (731-3710) to arrange an appointment with one of the parish clergy. Please allow 6 months at least for the necessary preparations. Please do not enter into any other wedding commitments prior to having your wedding date and time confirmed by the Parish. PARISHIONERS IN THE HOSPITAL: If a family member is in the hospital, please inform the Parish Office to have them placed on the sick list for prayers. What’s Happening in Faith Formation ?
Our 2019-2020 theme,
A tiny spark can set a great forest on fire James 3:5,
begins with our teacher retreat on Sept.15th. We
will celebrate Mass at 12:30 and then come together for food
and (I hope) some great ideas for the coming year. We hope
you can take the time to thank our Catechists for the wonderful
service that they provide to our community and to our young
people and, as always, to add your prayers for a wonderful,
fruitful year.
Class assignments were mailed out. Classes begin the week of Sept 24th

Twenty - Second Sunday in Ordinary Time Today, we hear Jesus say to us, “…when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the
crippled, the lame and the blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.
With love for your neighbors who are poor, crippled, lame or blind, look around your house to see what furniture, household items, and clothing you no longer
use…and give it to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
In observance of the Labor Day Holiday, the Parish Office will be closed on Monday September 2nd.
Mass will be offered at 9am
The Parish Center Office will be closed on
