The paper I’m looking for 1. Describes Bentley’s central argument(s) in chapter 1.2. Identifies the grounds upon which Bentley bases the argument(s), demonstrating a clear understanding of how the grounds relate to the argument(s).3. Describes a body of evidence—using the examples of the Seljuq Turks, Mongols, or Swahili from chapter 4—that Bentley uses to support these grounds, demonstrating a clear understanding of how the evidence relates to the ground it supports.4. Focuses exclusively on the job of summarizing Bentley, introducing no extraneous material such as other course readings or personal experiences or opinions (even about Bentley). 5. Is basically easy to read. Presents information in an organized fashion, for instance by first stating the Bentley’s argument and then dealing with each of the grounds for the argument and then turning to the evidence. Includes no errors of spelling, punctuation, or grammar that obscure the paper’s intentions or that are significantly distracting (i.e. misspelling key terms or Bentley’s name).6. Cites all quotations, ideas, and facts that did not originate from the paper writer’s own thought using in-text parenthetical references.7. Follows assigned conventions of formatting and page length.
