Physical Features

There are several features that make the Northeast a great place to live in. Like mountains, rivers, plains, waterfalls and forests foliage color. The Northeast is a truly amazing place.

EconomyThe service industry is an important part of the economy. Service workers are important to the economy too. Some are taxi drivers, bankers, miners, farmers, doctors, teachers and chefs. Without jobs the Northeast would never be the same.

People

A lot of different cultures live in the Northeast region like Native Americans, Europeans, Asians and Russians. Emma Lazarus was born in 1849 and grew up in New York and Rhode Island. She was a famous poet from this region.

MarylandThere are many exciting places like the Civil War trails, Allegheny Mountains and the capital Annapolis. Those are just a few places you can visit. There is also Washington D.C. on the border of Maryland.
