The Nikkei (August 7) Satoshi Iwaki, New Delhi “New Indian Ambassador to Japan calls out for Investment from Japan to Power” Ms. Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, the new Indian Ambassador to Japan said “Japan-India relation is one of the most important diplomatic relations to India. Two countries are in complementary relation economically and are of vital existence to each other”. The new Ambassador who will come to Japan this week said to the Nikkei on the 6 th at MEA in New Delhi that she has strong intention to personally call out for investment from Japan into intergovernmental projects, such as DMIC. As for various risks which became highlighted by the violent labor dispute at a factory of Suzuki Motor’s Indian subsidiary and massive power failure, Ms. Wadhwa stressed “any form of violence is not tolerated in India. The recent power failure must have helped Japan to understand the necessity of investment into India’s power industry”. She also showed expectation to promote bilateral negotiation for the early conclusion of nuclear agreement between Japan and India.

“New Indian Ambassador to Japan calls out for Investment from Japan to Power”

Ms. Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, the new Indian Ambassador to Japan said “Japan-India relation is one of the most important diplomatic relations to India. Two countries are in complementary relation economically and are of vital existence to each other”.
