8.00AM; Sign In and Scrutineering

8.30AM; Race Brief

9.00AM; Race Start

11.30AM; Racing must cease (Bunbury Sailing Club racing begins)

12.30PM; Presentations at Wavies Clubhouse & the big feed

Entry;

$20pp via the AOCRA website. Lunch is $5pp cash on the day. Wavemasters will run a small

bar for drinks at lunch.

Club Nominations due Sunday 10th Feb. (Registrar’s take note below.)

Team Nominations due Wednesday 13th Feb.

Teams;

Mixed only, maximum of 10 paddlers. Boat ratio is 3men:3women, with exception to

juniors rule; 1 male junior aged 14-16 can sit in a women’s seat.

Juniors; 14-16 years, will need a parental permission slip also signed by the coach. Ratio of junior to adult is

2 juniors 4 adults in the canoe at any one time.

Rigging;

Grassed area next to Waters Edge Café, on Cobblestone Drive or Koombana Beach @ Event

Location;

Race Event = Koombana Beach, Anchorage Cove.

Presentation’s, Lunch and Bar = Bunbury Yacht Club, Cobblestone Drive.

Change over zone is strictly enforced due to closed waters from Dept of Transport. Change

over rules are first canoe in is the change at 1, second canoe changes at 2, etc. Ensure you

listen carefully at the briefing.

Time penalties will apply to canoes that run into others at any point in the race.

Event Location is for First Aid, Rego, Briefing, Team tents and Spectators.

Registrar’s note; Maximum ten paddlers per team can be nominated by registering one mixed open OC6 and then up to

four in the OC1 category.

The mixed entry must contain 3 men and 3 woman, the OC1 category is for extra paddlers and juniors.

If the club is nominating a mixed team of five men and five women then they must submit 1 mixed OC6

with 3 men 3 women then also 2 men 2 women OC1.

If you are entering juniors aged U14+ then they are to be registered in their appropriate age group in the

OC1 category.

Course;

4 laps of 5 km (20km) beach relay.

MESSAGE OF SLIP, SLOP & SLAP THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

ALL PADDLERS ARE TO ENSURE THEY ARE ADEQUATELY HYDRATED

DURING THE RACE.
