UPG Missions Banquet. Take advantage of the time with Marissa this
next week as we co-sponsor the UPG (Unreached People Groups) Mission
Banquet, Monday, March 4 at 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2600
Chestnut Street. First Baptist Church Mertzon, Calvary Baptist Church and
Veribest Baptist Church are co-sponsoring this event with us.
The Banquet is to raise awareness about the work that God is doing
among the UPGs in the world, specifically the UPGs in southern
Philippines. Marissa will be speaking at Calvary on Sunday morning and at
Veribest Sunday night. On Monday, March 4, we will have an informal
lunch and Q & A with her in the room behind the church office. Bring a
sack lunch and visit with Marissa.
Tickets for the Banquet are still available at the church office this week
and before and after church this Sunday, March 3.
MSV Team. Official CHBC representatives to the MSV (Mindanao Strategic
Conference) in southern Philippines April 14-28, 2013 are Connie Siefker,
John Bautista, Kenny Greenwood, and Brittany Vaughan. In addition to the
official team, Stacy Stephenson, Kim and I will also be going. We are
hosting a silent auction to raise money for the four official team
representatives. Or you may want to simply give towards the team's
expenses.
The MSV is an annual conference that brings the Filipino church planters,
their families and the partnering Filipino and western church and mission
sending agencies' representatives. This is a time of physical and spiritual
re-charging for the church planters and their families and a time to
reconnect with their western church partners.
Please pray for our Team. Pray for the church planters.
Inviting our neighbors. Pray about being a part of our neighborhood
outreach on Saturday, March 30. We will be going down the streets close
to our church and invite our neighbors to come to our Easter service the
following day. We are also designating the week of March 24-30 as a week
of prayer for our lost family, friends, and neighbors. We will open the
prayer room on Friday, March 29 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM for prayer.
We also have Easter invitation cards you can hand out to your family and
friends to invite them to our Easter service.

All items are on display in the church foyer and bidding will end Sunday, March 3rd at 12:30PM.
Thank you for your generous support!
