A very long time ago the white metal device you see on the bottom left of thepicture took the magic world by storm. It was precision made in Germany and didnot rely upon magnets, peeks or sleight of hand of any kind to enable theperformer to READ MINDS. This Wonder Clock as it was called by post WWIIcraftsmen hasn’t been readily available in this country at all for many years.

A couple of years ago a “new” version looking similar to the original did appear onthe import magic market, but didn’t receive much recognition. Recently aninexpensive plastic remake labeled a TELE-CLOCK has popped up that mightexcite your interest in this venerable prop…

EFFECT: A spectator is invited to choose and set his/her favorite hour on theclock face. By sliding the door up and over the face, this freely chosen time ishidden from the performer (really).Without even having to touch the apparatus the performer immediately can revealthe time indicated by the spectator. It’s great for a one-ahead routine.

This might be worth tracking down from your favorite dealer. Have FUN! Note> the playing card is in the picture to give you an idea of the actual size of the props.

Coming to ring 55 On MARCH 6th

Mark Strivings is a full-time professional performer doing over 500 paid performances per year. Working a wide variety of venues and performing styles, Mark does everything from strolling and table-hopping to children's shows, adult performances, mentalism, readings, home psychic parties, hypnosis and more.

Mark works primarily in the western half of the US, and is currently based in the Denver area.

Author of 13 books on mentalism, children's magic and family entertainment, He is also a featured performer on the Desert Brainstorm Series of videotapes published by A-1 Magical Media , along with other members of the Arizona Six and One-Half (Larry Becker, Lee Earle, Docc Hilford, Kenton Knepper, Gene Urban and Christopher Caldwell).

He is featured again on the A-1 All-Star's Volume 3 video (also published by A-1) along with Juan Tamariz, Raphael Benatar and Darwin Ortiz. Mark also has 12 solo videos to his credit.

Mark has released nearly 50 effects and accessories for mentalists and family entertainers, including the Sight Unseen Case, used by professionals the world over.

Mark has been published in Magick, Syzygy, Vibrations, The Magic Menu and Laugh Makers. He is a columnist for The Magic Menu and the recently terminated Laugh Makers Magazine. Mark has also been a guest columnist for Joe Steven's Gemini Network.

Mark has the distinction of being the first ever on-line lecturer (for IBM Ring 2100).

Mark is the owner/operator of the world's largest all-mentalism mail order source, called Mental Connections.

Mark's materials are being used by top professionals all over the world.
