Energy solutions from Skanska, the greenest company in the UK
Owners and managers of property, in both the public and private sector, can realise significant benefits by tapping into the hidden value locked within a building’s infrastructure.
Carefully redeveloping mechanical, electrical and public health systems, and then maintaining them efficiently, can vastly reduce carbon footprints and energy costs.
Energy efficient solutions also increase the value of buildings and rentable space – a plus for landlords. It’s amazing the savings that can be made just by increasing people’s energy awareness.
And the best news is that these benefits can be achieved without any investment from you.

Describing himself as “obsessed about energy and carbon efficiency”, Craig believes passionately in the value of partnership and the need for the industry to work together to drive the green agenda forward. Heading up Skanska’s UK green business and technology divisions, Craig spends his time developing fully integrated business models that are easy for clients to understand. When not challenging the status quo, you’ll find him popping up at conferences and round table events delivering presentations and lobbying the industry.
With over 28 years of bidding and delivering commercial and public sector projects, Richard is a reassuring presence throughout the life-cycle of a project. From initial contact, through desktop and investment grade audits, to delivery and handover of a project, Richard helps his technical design and delivery team achieve the best for clients. If he is not developing a carbon reduction model or an onsite assessment, you’ll probably find him presenting his findings or trawling the supply chain for the latest innovations and technologies.
Experienced across the UK and international construction markets, Colin has played a key role in positioning Skanska as the leading green project developer and service provider in its global markets. He really understands the importance of driving down carbon emissions, reducing waste and conserving natural water sources and is always on the look out for green solutions that are cost effective. Colin is chair of the working group established by the UK government’s Green Construction Board, helping to promote the industry at home and overseas.
Managing media and communications for Skanska’s energy services team, Clare has over a decade of marketing experience to support the team. Describing her technical colleagues as “enthusiastic geniuses”, Clare helps the team turn complex technical ideas into easy-to-understand solutions. A recent convert to the green way of thinking, Clare has taken her new-found knowledge home, introducing energy saving technology and behaviour to reduce household energy bills.
