Swiss Technology Award – the leading technology prize in SwitzerlandInnovations are a key driver of the Swiss economy. They ensure our prosperity. The presentation of the Swiss Technology Award supports and promotes this culture of innovation. Each year, outstanding technology-based innovations and developments from start-ups, universities and technical institutions as well as established business-es are awarded prizes in three categories.
This prize is the most important distinction for innovation and technology transfer in Switzerland. The Swiss Tech-nology Award was taken over from the Swiss Economic Forum AG in 2008 and will be presented for the 29th time at the Swiss Innovation Forum 2017.

Procedure and deadlinesThe judging process for the Swiss Technology Award is completed in multiple stages.
By 25 August 2017: Online applicationRegistration on our online platform.
Followed by: Initial evaluation of applicationsExpertsevaluateallapplicationsbasedonalistofcriteriaanddefinethedossiersforthepreliminaryjurysession.
13 September 2017: Preliminary adjudicationExaminationofthesubmitteddossiersindetailandnom-inationofthethreefinalistsineachcategory.
30 October 2017: Main adjudicationThefinalistsgivetheirpresentationsbefore the main jury in Zurich.
16 November 2017: Award ceremonyAllthefinalistsaregiventheopportunitytopresenttheir innovation in a pitch at the Swiss Innovation Forum in front of a high-calibre audience of more than 1,000 participants. The winners of the individual categories are then selected immediately afterwards.
