in uniting all princely
states into a single nation
within a very small span of
time. Shri Modi said,
generation of Indians will
continue to remember
Sardar Patel, particularly
the youth, who will carry
forward his legacy.
The Prime Minister said, in
some countries, people of
the same faith are even not
ready to tolerate each other
but in India, there is
diversity yet all are united.
Shri Modi said, India must
remain united and it is the
responsibility of the 125
crore people to ensure its
unity and integrity.

75th anniversary of

Divas) was celebrated in these Islands too, today, on the occasion of the 142nd
birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. To mark the occasion, the
Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, in association with the Department of
Education and other Departments of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration,
organized a 'Run for Unity' today. The Secretary (Sports/Education), Smti. Tanvi
Garg, who was the chief guest on the occasion, flagged off the 'Run for Unity' from
the Netaji Stadium this morning. She also administered the National Unity Pledge
to the participants. About 500 students from various schools of the headquarter
area; trainees of SAI, ANSA and students of JNRM participated in the Run.

connection, a farewell was held in the conference hall

favour of the Council for constructing parking place near
Thirupathi Temple, Haddo.
Earlier, welcoming the gathering, Shri Someswara Rao,
Ward Councillor informed that Haddo being a hilly area,
the citizens are facing acute shortage of drinking water.
Keeping this in view, the PBMC embarked on this project
and completed in a time bound manner which will
immensely benefit the populace of that area.
The project was executed at a cost of Rs. 30 lakhs. This
CWR tank will resolve the present water crisis in the
nearby areas, especially during summer spell.

successful alumni of BRAIT, who shared about the effective attitude and commitment
expected by the employers. They also gave away the certificates and prizes to the winners
of the competition held during this period.
