Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals! TSR HORSEZONE.CO.UK Riders Finals - 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR HORSEZONE.CO.UK In Hand Finals - The two highest placed Han-dlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Han-dlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward, cards are available FREE from the TSR website. The SPSB Society Rules 2016

SHETLANDS

1. Classes must be confined to Registered Ponies. Ponies must be

named on the entry form and in the catalogue if one is produced.

Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the

Society or eligible for registration ( i.e. foals)

2. Three year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals

must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the Show.

3. There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handlers classes.

Children under 14 yrs old may not show colts ( excluding foals ) or

entire males in In-hand classes. Children under 11 yrs old on the day

of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the inter-

ests of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 or un-

der in In –hand classes.

Exhibitors must not kneel but remain standing whilst in the ring.

Qualifying for Equifest:It is now the Exhibitor's responsibility

to obtain a qualification card prior to competing in an Equifest

qualifier. Qualification cards will be sent out free of charge to ex-hibitors on request. Please email [email protected] or telephone Jenny Needham (01733 363500) with your name

and postal address and we will send the card to you by return. Please allow at least two days turnaround!

This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society

(UK). Affiliation No 16202

Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor

must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However, in

order to qualify, both Owner and Rider / Exhibitor need to

be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE

RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK)

for appropriate qualifier card.

The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 31st hAugust to 3rd

Spetmeber 2016. Shows held on or after date of Championship Show will count

as 2017 qualifiers.

The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers - Classes 11 to 15

For full rulings and information on competition / qualification, please refer to the

CHAPS (UK) Members' Handbook or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings.

All stallions 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with

CHAPS (UK). All stallions must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring without ex-

ception.

GENERAL RULES

The judges’ decision will be final, including places in all classes. Objections must be made in writing to the show secretary, accompanied by a deposit of £10, within one hour of the alleged incident taking place. Should the objection be deemed to be frivolous or unfounded, the deposit shall be forfeited. The show committee reserves the right to cancel or promptly alter any class without stating a reason.

HATS

Everyone, whether a competitor or not when mounted, must wear a hard hat to at least the minimum standard, with a harness properly adjusted and fastened. Failure to do so will incur elimination. Hats marked EN 1384, PAS 015, or prefixed with ASTM or SEI, are the minimum standard allowed. Hard hats to specification PAS 015 or ASTM F1163 are considered to offer greater protection than EN 1384. Recommended hard hats should carry the quality assurance stamp of Kite mark or SEI. American standard SNELL E95 and Australian / New Zealand standard SNZ 3838 1998 are also acceptable.

BACK PROTECTORS

It is recommended that competitors wear a back protector to beta level 3 for jumping classes.

LEGAL LIABILITY

Neither the show nor any persons acting on its behalf will accept liability for any loss, damage or illness to ponies, horses, riders, spectators or any person.

DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES.

All vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

ALL HORSE TRAILERS AND BOXES, PLEASE ENTER THE SHOWGROUND VIA THE EQUINE ENTRANCE. ALL NON-TOWING VEHICLES WILL, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, BE CHARGED THE FULL

SHOW ENTRY FEES TO PARK IN THE EQUINE AREA.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE HORSES OR PONIES TIED UNATTENDED TO TRAILERS, HORSEBOXES OR ELSEWHERE ON THE

SHOWGROUND.

Veteran Horse Society – AREA QUALIFIER 2016. First round qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final: VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2016 Kindly Sponsored by Allen & Page. Open to members and non-members. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 1st to 4th in each Area Qualifier class will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals. Members must have their showing card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification. Non-members will receive a red qualification card which can be exchanged for signed showing card when applying for VHS membership. Regional Finals are open to members only. Young Rider Championship qualification. A Young Rider rosette and qualification will be awarded to the young rider of the Judge’s choice, entitling them to enter the Young Rider Championship at the National Veteran Open Championships. This award is given at the Judge’s discretion. All competitors are eligible to enter open classes at the National Veteran Open Championships, 23rd – 25th September.
