THE WHITE RAY OF PURITY

1. THE FOURTH RAY

The Fourth Ray represents the White Flame of Purity, the Resurrection Flame, the Immaculate Con­cep t, and also the Ascension Flame. Since the Ascen­sion is the Goal o f a l l l i f e and the reason for em­bodiment, we shall take It up in d eta il in Lesson Number Fourteen. The Chohan o f the Fourth Ray, through Whom the Purity and Resurrection Flames are focused, is the Ascended Master Serapis Bey,Whose special service i t i s to guard the actual Ascension Flame at Luxor, Egypt since It was carried by Him and others to Its present location at the time o f the sinking o f the Continent of Atlantis.

Purity and holding the Immaculate Concept be­comes necessary for the student as he moves along the Path, and the resurrecting o f a l l the good in his lifestream , before the individual i s able to "graduate" in the Victory o f the Ascension.

A ll training by the Ascended Masters is for one purpose only - to help aspiring students to so puri­fy and harmonize themselves that they may quickly gain the Ascension and BECOME the "I AM" Presence and f u l f i l l the reason for being. The Beloved Serapis Bey holds a s tr ic t d iscip lin e for those who aspire to the Ascension, for i t i s not lig h tly that the fu llness o f God is attained by those who have misused God's energy through many ages o f liv in g .

The Fourth Sphere is where the Holy Christ Selves o f mankind abide until such time as They are able to take over and become "The Christ" here on Earth.

The Fourth Ray becomes the "bridge between the

Innex Realms of Perfection and the outer manifestat­ion o f the divine plans into the world o f form. The Elohim of Purity expresses particu larly through th is Ray and holds the Immaculate Concept for the Earth and each one o f mankind. The great Archangel Gabriel draws the Resurrection Flame through th is Ray and in the outer world o f form those who belong to th is Ray are usually very a r t is t ic and have talent along the a c t iv it ie s o f music, dancing, drama, painting, sculp­ture and architecture, and are usually blessed with great fortitude in seeing things through.

White is the color o f th is Ray and Liebestram by Liszt is Its Theme Song.

2 . THE IMMACULATE CONCEPT

The Immaculate Concept which is so l i t t l e under­stood in the outer world is that a ctiv ity o f holding in the thoughts and feelings the DIVINE PATTERN, the Divine Blueprint for yourself, each other, and every part o f l i f e you contact. There is a glorious and beautiful Divine Pattern for every expression o f l i f e , and when that is held in consciousness instead o f the outer appearance which temporarily clothes that par­ticu la r form, it assists in bringing into outer mani­festation the expression o f the blessing with which God endowed it in the beginning.

The Beloved Mother Mary did th is for the Master Jesus, holding fast to the Image o f GOD MAN for Jesus from before His Birth until after the Victory o f His Ascension, and She holds that for each child o f God on the Earth to th is day.

The Immaculate Concept is MAGNIFYING THE GOOD everywhere your attention re sts , and thus you mini­mize the appearances o f imperfection and help to bring more Light to the Earth rather than more shadows. Learn to see something of GOOD everywhere, and try to see yourself and each one you contact as the God Being which each one rea lly is .

3. SERAPIS BEY SAYS;

"I am One among a great Hierarchy Who are ser­vants o f your Light; Who have come and remained as part o f the evolution o f the planet Earth until im­prisoned l i f e i s set free . We are the Brothers and S isters o f the Ascension. Across your breasts are written the words, "CANDIDATE FOR THE ASCENSION’ aid you are privileged among a l l men, women and children that use the Earth as a planetary home, for the Lords o f Karma have chosen to vest your l i f e streams with embodiment, to give you opportunity to make things r igh t. Up until the securing o f the dispensation whereby we might SPEAK with you, we had to render Our service through radiation.

"It i s My privilege and honor to answer the sum­mons from the heart when there is opportunity through the use o f th is mighty Ascension Flame to raise a consciousness again to i t s natural God-estate. With­in every electron o f Light that flows so free ly and constantly from the Source o f the Universal into your hearts, is EVERY QUALIFICATION of the Sacred F ire. Within every electron there waits FIRE, FIRE, FIRE - the Fire that becomes the bread on your tab le , the substance that clothes you, the f ire that becomes the transmutation o f your transgressions into harmon­ious energy; the f ire that becomes for you the actual E lix ir o f Healing, that becomes the Resurrection of the powers which you knew in the Great Central Sun, in the Inner Spheres and even here in the physical world ages ago; the f ir e that one day when your momentum is builded, w ill jo in with the Cosmic Flame and give to you that marvelous experience which you know as the Ascension;

"At Luxor, where you have v is ited Me on and o f f through the centuries, Our complete d iscip lin e l ie s in turning the consciousness o f the aspirant INWARD t o the Flaming Heart-beat, until such an one can draw from that Heart-beat even the n ecessities to

nourish the physical body, even as Jesus drew the manna from Heaven. The cloth ing, the very garments with which the in itia te approaches the a lta r , are woven out o f the energies o f his own primal Life! Mastery and completeness is within the unit as the oak tree is within the acorn and the chicken within the egg. As the smallest and most insignificant SEED contains within i t s e l f not only the pattern of i t s fu ll flow er, but the way and means o f external­izing that pattern, the nourishment required, the magnetic pull upon the elements to develop i t s e l f , so o f a certainty is the Divine Pattern within the heart o f man and LIFE ITSELF endowed with s e lf - su fficiency . It requires but a rea lization that within that Light that flows in countless m illions and m illions and m illions o f units into your world EACH MINUTE is the fu llness o f everything you desire , healing, freedom, illumination and every God desire.

"The Candidate for the Ascension must successfully pass through the d iscip lin es o f the Seven Great Temples and learn the great surrender o f heart, soul and sp ir it and desire to cooperate with the Will of God.

4. THE SEVEN TEMPLES OF INITIATION

F irs t ; "The neophyte is placed within a c e ll and a l­lowed to commune there with his own Holy "I AM" Pre­sence, endeavoring to contact that God-Self and to develop within himself a humility before It . With­in th is f ir s t great Temple, under the d irection of the Great Morya and His assistants, comes the d is­solving o f re b e llio n . Rebellion within the l i f e - stream is the feelin g which brought every man and woman from a state o f Grace and constant communion with the God-Self. Rebellion took Lucifer from the Heart o f Heaven, and the rebellion against d iscip line and se lf-correction is a barrier to real spiritual progress. It does not mean one should assume ser­v i l i t y to any human s e l f , or submission even to the Will o f the Master, but the quality o f rebellion

that is within the consciousness must be melted away. We have various ways and means o f drawing out of the dormant consciousness those q u a lities , and a good number o f our candidates removed them­selves from the Temple before passing through th is f ir s t in it ia t io n . That is why I have set into motion at inner leve ls those currents which w ill bring forth particular melodies to d issolve REBELLION in the fee lin gs - rebellion against lim itation - rebellion against conditions. Let Me point out i t does not require "submission" to lim ita tion , but a constant a lert awareness setting into action The Law which is in your hands to remedy conditions and keep you harmonious, peaceful, and constructively employed during th is process."

Second; 'Those few who pass from the F irst Temple are taken into the Second Temple known as the Temple o f Learning. Here under the Brothers guarded by Kuthumi (and now Lanto), they are given instruction in the Law. They develop understanding o f the laws o f cause and e f fe c t and a l l those laws which you are presently learning. It is a pleasant and happy time, a time o f the sowing of the seeds, a time o f the breathing o f l i f e upon those seeds and bringing forth a harvest o f works. It is a time when the a rt is ts develops his s k i l l , the musician the dexterity o f musical accomplishment; a time when the teacher be­comes eloquent in the capacity to convey knowledge and s tir enthusiasm in the students; when the states­man gains the vision similar to that in the founding o f the United States of America; i t is a time when a l l that is GOOD develops and grows, and the enthus­iasm of the Brothers and Sisters is tremendous."

Third: "From th is in itia tion in the Second Templemost pass successfully into the Third Temple under the great protection and guidance o f our Beloved Paul, the Venetian. Here again, We come to the d iscip lin e o f LIVING WITH OUR BROTHERS, o f becoming our 'Brother's Keeper' . The neophytes are placed in liv in g quarters with lifestream s who have within them-

selves those tendencies which are particu larly aggravating to the others. Here again the numbers dwindle and with great fee lin g o f r e l i e f , the neophytes rush for the door and leave Us. It is unfortunate, for to live with one's fellowman is one o f the greatest te s ts o f the unascended state. Although the graciousness, the beauty, the kindliness o f th is great Chohan are so great they would melt a heart o f stone, the d isc ip lin e which He gives in learning tolerance and understanding is such that few survived"

Fourth: "From the above We move into the FourthTemple - My Temple] This i s the f ir s t personal contact I have with the neophyte since the entering o f the lifestream into our Retreat. It is the time when the neophyte must, for the f ir s t time, draw forth enough purity to see His Holy Christ Self Face to Face. It i s an in itia tion when the Master Himself must stand within the aura o f the in it ia te . It is a time when many nefarious presentations from within the inner bodies come to the consciousness o f the student, where the 'many v o ice s ' speak} when only discrim ination, prayer, selflessness and humility can discern the Voice o f the Silence. It is a time when, i f possib le , the ego is inflated and the voices speak o f great things the s e lf shall do. This is the time when SELF is shorn o f a l l egotism, subtle and apparent, and a fter passing through th is in it ia ­tion (during which I stand within the aura and pray the prayer o f My Heart to God) the lifestream is ready for the consecration."

F ifth : "When the ever-dwindling numbers enter intothe F ifth Temple under the great H ilarión, we come to the beautifu l Festival o f Consecration. We dedi­cate the priests and priestesses o f the Flame, the Sacred F ire, here. Up to th is point, they are not permitted to attend the Flame or to o f f ic ia te on the a lta r ; they are the congregation, the suppli­cants, the neophytes with the shaved heads, the linen garments, bare feet and hopeful hearts. When

they enter Temple Five, having passed through the in itia tion o f join ing the Christ Self in humility, selflessness and serv ice, they are ready to have the garments o f CONSECRATION, the vestments placed upon them; the golden sandals on th e ir fe e t , the silken garments upon th e ir bodies. Then the great H ilarion, or the Archangel Raphael or One o f Their Court, per­forms the Service o f Consecration. The Light is consecrated before it enters the body. The emotional body is consecrated and made v is ib le to the entire assembly. The etheric body is consecrated. The mental body is consecrated, and a fter those inner bodies are so b lessed , every one of the senses is consecrated by the presiding Priest and by Myself.It i s a magnificent ceremony and it shall one day be woven into your ceremonies o f the future before the lifestream s go forth in more than ordinary ser­v ice . There i s given the consecration o f the hands through which flow the Flame o f Healing; the con­secration o f the feet which become the anchorage o f the Sacred Fire wherever that body moves; the con­secration o f the l ip s to speak the Sacred Words which invoke and command the manifestation o f pre­c ip ita tion and healing powers; the consecration of the energies through the eyes that enable the l i f e - stream to see perfection and c a ll i t fo rth ."

"The Priests and Priestesses, magnificent in their robes, each one representing the Ray which i s the natural a ctiv ity o f the lifestream , are assigned to the Temple Worship. Here they serve for shorter or longer periods, some go no farther than th is in it ia t ­ion. Many o f you have remained the Priests and Priestesses o f the Sacred Fire during an entire em­bodiment because, again when you come to Temple Six, the in it ia t io n in SELFLESSNESS AND SERVICE is such that many do not choose to incorporate th e ir energies in a mission that might not be successful and lose the accumulated good which brought them to the Temple worship.

Sixth; "In Temple Six the Brothers become minister­ing mendicants, leaving Luxor to test their light in the world o f form. The beautiful vestments are taken from th e ir shoulders and folded away, also the silken garments, the magnificent headdress, the jewels of l ig h t , the scepters o f paver, a l l are removed;Clothed again as a wandering beggar, the ministering beings under the Devotional Ray, go into the world o f form WITH NO CREDENTIALS and with a VOW OF SILENCE there is no way to make even the sp ir itu a lly alert and worthy know of their qu a lifica tion s except in the expansion o f th e ir own ligh t which, through the eye, the gesture, the radiation and the aura, have to render the service o f expanding the ligh t and en­couraging the Ascension within those they contact."

"Here I lo s t you many times! Many times you went forth to set the world on f ir e ! tony times I saw your receding backs as you walked down the steps, out the door, and the sands o f the desert claimed you and only too soon thereafter the senses! Yet i t is a l l part o f evolution and Vie are allowed by Lav; to fe e l no pain. Yet Vie can fe e l added happi­ness when you return - as here you are today!"

Seventh: "Those who do return and have through the ages, bringing back the sheaves o f th e ir service in the world o f form, are ready to enter into the Seventh Great Temple and in the action o f the V iolet F ire, every atom and c e l l o f th e ir being be­comes a ceremony o f externalizing God's W ill.They become, each one, lik e a window through which the God Life flows without impure qu a lifica tion o f any kind except to expand the borders o f the King­dom. Each one is like a fountain which has neither form nor s e lf and in th is c lo is te r they remain until the close o f the Earth span and the Ascension from My Cwn Arms and Heart is assured."

"Your l i f e today in the v/orld o f form is sub­je ctin g you to much the same in itia tion s as I have described, and you can measure yourselves, your

successes and your fa ilu res without the promptings o f a Guru, knowing within the honesty o f your own heart wherein you need to develop more l ig h t , and wherein you are already master. In th is way, each man becomes h is own teacher and you pass through the Ascension Flame into the perfection o f the great Priest or Priestess o f Ceremonial and at the c lose o f your Earth l i f e shall have your Freedom."

6. THE ARCHANGEL GABRIEL

The Great Archangel Gabriel serves on the Fourth Ray which is particu larly concerned with bridging the gap between the outer mind and man's inherent D ivinity. Gabriel is the One’ Who brings "tidings o f great jo y " . The Fourth Ray is the point o f con­ta ct between the outer conscrouness o f unascended beings and th e ir God, for somewhere along l i f e 's path, no matter what re lig iou s formula any indi­vidual believes in and uses, eventually he turns to seek UNION WITH HIS GOD. There are many God Beings Who o ffe r to d irect Their assistance when individ­uals c a ll for such help, and the mighty Archangel Gabriel i s One o f these.

We are to ld that "man" was created in the Image and Likeness o f h is Father - God, but looking about us we can see that mankind has "fa llen " far from th e ir orig in a l Divine Blueprint. The Archangel Gabriel also holds that orig in a l concept o f perfect­ion - the Immaculate Concept - for a l l mankind, and w ill give assistance to a l l who w ill c a l l to Him.

The Twin-Flame of Gabriel i s known by the name o f 'HOPE' and Her service is to perform exactly what Her name im plies; She brings HOPE to the human'heart fo r better things to come. Her radiation is bouyant, u p lift in g , joyous and insp irational. As the radiat­ion o f heat from your radiators makes your liv ing

quarters com fortable, so does the radiation o f any Intelligence - Divine or human - a ffe c t your atmos­phere through th eir thoughts, fe e lin g s , words and deeds. This is not mystic but a s c ie n t if ic fa ct. Proximity to the heat from a radiator makes one warm; proximity to the Presence o f any o f God's Messengers, ra ises the entire consciousness and world o f the one who in v ites such a Presence* with Its radiant b lessin gs, g i f t s and v irtues.

7, ARCHANGEL GABRIEL SPEAKS;

"H ail, sons and daughters o f the liv in g God in­carnated! I come from the Throne o f the King of Kings to bring you remembrance o f your Divine Identity ; to bring to you remembrance o f the heri­tage which awaits your claiming, so that you may externalize i t to the glory o f your Father and the redemption o f the Earth which has been your patient protector and hostess. I come from the Realms o f the 'Light o f God that Never F a ils ' into the shad­ows o f the Earth and I say to you - 'GODS AND GOD­DESSES! Why s it ye in the shadows when within your heart beats that Fire o f Immortality! It contains within I t s e l f the power to redeem, to transmute, to harmonize, to purify , to heal, to supply and to regulate every cond ition , even with the speed of thought!"

"I am known as the ARCHANGEL OF THE RESURRECTION! It i s My priv ilege and honor, working with the Heir- archy, to bring to l i f e again the consciousness of Mastery which is the preordained destiny fo r every man, woman and child belonging to th is evolution , as well as those who are the vowed guardians o f i t . "

" I dwell within the Fourth Realm and Sphere and I work with the great Serapis and the Holy Christ Selves of almost the entire human race. I am well acquainted with the Divine Perfection for every l i f e - stream belonging to th is evolution . I worship in the same Temples, I stand side by side with your

I am well equipped to convey to you the FEELING that i t is time you open the doors and windows o f your soul to the rea l­ity o f that exqu isite , m ajestic Divine Presence - made in the Image o f the Father and Mother o f th is system, w hich .it is your duty and resp on sib ility to extern a lize :"

"Religion is not a matter o f ceremony alone.IT IS A MATTER OF DAILY. HOURLY LIVING* It i s a matter o f p la in , ordinary common sense. It i s a matter o f d is c ip lin e , se lf-co n tro l and contem­plation : the development o f love and gratitude to l i f e i t s e l f and for the God Who has given that Life and sustained you for m illions o f years."

" I , G abriel, am speaking into your hearts - REMEMBER ME! C all forth that Flame o f the Resur­rection . Let that which seems 'dead' within you LIVE! The Light o f God, the Youth o f God, the Sight o f God, the Hearing o f God, the Beauty o f God, the Love o f God - the all-encompassing nature o f God IS ALIVE WITHIN YOU.' There is an ember in your hearts e lse you would not have physical form. There is a spark in which is the all-power of the Almighty and I breathe upon i t with the Flame of My Spirit - "COME NCW FORTH, YE THAT SLEEP.' STAND REVEALED IN MASTERY AND BE GOD FREE:"

9. THE ELOHIM OF PURITY. Beloved C la ire, says:

" I AM" the Elohim o f Purity. I am the Guardian o f the Immaculate Concept for th is Earth as well as for th is entire Universe. I am also the Guardian o f the Immaculate Concept o f your own individualized D ivin ity, which is fashioned from White Fire substance and liv e s in the God- free Realms. This is your Pattern o f Perfection o r ig in a lly created by the Godhead and That Being in a ll I ts p erfection , YOU MUST ONE DAY BECOME.'I am more than th is - I am the Flame o f Cosmic PURITY, the natural a c t iv ity o f your own l i f e and not something that must be wooed and drawn from without.

"I am the liv in g breathing PURITY o f the electron which liv e s in the center o f the atom o f which your physical bodies are composed. I am ALIVE in every c e l l o f your body, moving around the central core o f every atom o f your fle sh . Truly can I say - 'I am always with you for I AM Y01R LIFE: ' I am the liv in g breathing e lectron ic light o f Purity within your mental bodies; I am the liv in g breathing Flame

o f pure l ig h t , invoked by each o f you into the great sea o f your emotional world. I am the pure electron ic ligh t within every c e l l o f your etheric garment, a l l waiting to be released from the shadows imposed on them. I am now expanding MY PURITY from within every c e l l and atom o f a ll your four lower bodies, expand­ing, expanding, expanding My true nature which is the pu rification o f th is Earth and a l l that is in the Earth, on It or in Its atmosphere."

" I f you could stop one e lectron as it passes from the heart o f your God Presence into your physical heart, you would see that the electron contains with­in i t s e l f a l l o f the nature o f the Godhead; a l l o f I ts powers, Its majesty and a l l o f the D ivinity which is within the God-parents. The electron i t s e l f can never be contaminated fo r My Flame of Cosmic Christ PURITY liv e s within every one o f them. From whence then comes the shadows, lim itation s, illn esses and appearances o f age and depression? These discord­ant appearances are but the ’ c lo th in g ' o f the e le c t ­rons by shadows created from the habit o f placing the attention, thoughts and feelings of the outer s e lf upon imperfect appearances in the environment and atmosphere o f Earth. With your conscious accept­ance o f My service now, I shall endeavor to remove as much as possible of th is shadowed substance around your electrons by the mercy o f God and by expanding the power o f My Flame of PURITY which is already within you. "

" I speak d ire ct ly to the electrons which have come from the Universal First Cause, having answered the c a l l and obeyed the magnetic pu ll o f the Immortal Three-fold Flame within your heart:

'IN AND BY THE POWER OF GOD ALMIGHTY, I NOW DECREE THAT CONTINUOUS AND PERMANENT EXPANSION OF THAT FLAME OF PURITY IN EVERY CELL OF YOUR BODIES. I COMMAND THIS TO REMOVE THE EFFLUVIA (shadows) AND TRANSMUTE INTO LIGHT EVERY RATE OF VIBRATION WHICH IS AN IMPURITY AND CAUSES HUMAN LIMITATION. I COMMAND THIS DONE NOW BY THE MOST POWERFUL COSMIC ACTION OF THE BLUE

LIGHTNING OF COSMIC CHRIST PURITY FROM MY HEART.I DECREE THAT THE PURITY WITHIN THE HEART OF EVERY ONE OF YOUR ELECTRONS SHALL NOW EXPAND(3 ) EXPAND(3) EXPAND(3) until that which appears as lim itation can no longer imprison your l i f e in d iscord , and thus the shadows cease to b e !'

"Remember, the only discomfort in the world comes from the lack o f the substance of purity in one or more of the four lower bodies. M isqualified energy changes the ra tio o f the speed o f the electrons which form the atom and causes pain, lim itation and dis­tress . The vibration o f the substance o f purity quickens the vibratory action o f the electrons help­ing them to expand th eir l ig h t , throw o f f the d is ­cordant substance imposed upon them and restores them to the rhythm and harmony o f the " I AM" Presence in Whose Divine Image each individual was orig in a lly created ."

"Purity is very essentia l for the use o f the Sacred Fire o f Precipitation and Etherealization.I f the mental body is not p u rified , i t cannot re­ceive the perfect design from the Godhead or the Ascended Masters, nor can It manifest the strength to hold to that design against the disintegrating forces o f doubt, fear, r id icu le and the many other negative qu a lities in the atmosphere o f Earth which always endeavor to destroy a constructive pattern,"

" I f the emotional body is not p u rified , the idea and pattern w ill be so tinged with selfishness and personal ambition that the beautiful design loses much o f it s perfection and e f f ic a c y ."

" I f the etheric body (the seat o f memory) i s not p u rified , the fa ilu res o f the past which are recorded there, w ill often neutralize and sometimes completely destroy the form before i t can be externalized for the blessing o f l i f e . "

"Purity is essentia l to enable one to consciously etheroalize substance which has fu lf i l le d i t s pur­pose, releasing the magnetic pull which has held the form together and allowing the electrons which have made up that form to return to the Sun fo r re - polarization . "

11. BELOVED ASTREA

The Great Being known as ASTREA is the Divine Complement o f the Great Elohim o f Purity. Her ser­v ice is working in the astral realm where the cores o f impurity and e v il e x is t , and in the dissolving hnd transmuting o f a l l psychic substance on the Earth, in I ts atmosphere and i t s people. She accom­plishes th is by encircling the human creation (which is the psychic substance) around persons, places, conditions and things within HER CIRCLE AND SVORD OF BLUE FLAME, holding the impurity leashed until i t can be dissolved and transmuted into perfection.
