YEAR END GIVING/CONTRIBUCIONES DE FIN DE AÑO

Several years ago, I received a plain envelope in the collection basket. Inside, I found ten dollars and a note that read: “it's all I have right now but I know that every little bit helps in the work of Jesus.” What a moving note! How generous and awesome! What each of us contribute financially makes a big difference. The Bible asks us to give 10% back to God. These days that might not be possible; however, why not start with a 1% regular contribution? Even the smallest amount will bear interest with God. You won’t be sorry. Remember how Jesus was pleased when the widow gave two copper coins in Luke 21: 1-4? If we are generous with God, then God will bless us.

I am grateful that over one third of our parishioners financially support St. Francis; however, ALL of us can con-tribute something according to our means to show our good faith effort to Our Lord and His Blessed Mother. As the end of the year approaches and we reflect on the many blessings that we’ve been given, please consid-er adding St. Francis of Assisi to your year end contributions. It will also help with your tax return. All donations are fully tax deductible as allowed by law. Hace varios años, recibí un sobre en la canasta de recolección.
