Heres the scenario:Your group will patrol Sector Zebra,including a long, sparsely populatedcoastline, at a patrol altitude o 35,000 fand an average speed o Mach 0.9.

We have received intelligence reportso unidentied naval and airbornemovements just outside our territoriallimits. Your Gripen will carry Air-to-Ground and Air-to-Air missiles, andthe mission plan includes Air-to-Airreuelling. All your ight data will be

downloaded digitally and take-o is inve minutes Any questions?

Yourequipment:

Helmet Mounted Display (HMD)

Te integrated Helmet Mounted Displayprovides real-time data superimposedright in ront o your eyes. No matterwhere you turn your head, youve gotull control and inormation on ightparameters, sensor data, target cueing and

weapon status. Te HMD also eatures anintegrated chemical/biological respiratorand Night Vision camera options.

Flight Suit

Te Flight Suit is your basic outt. Whenin ight, its always complemented by theFlight Jacket, the Anti-G Suit and gloves.

Flight Jacket and Anti-G Suit

Te Flight Jacket and Anti-G Suit are tailor-made or each individual pilot, and are vitalto your protection in the event o ejection.An important eature o your Flight Jacketis the chest bladder, which automatically

balances pressure. Te Flight Jacket alsounctions as a lie vest and eatures anemergency transmitter that is automaticallyactivated at 12G (or manually i needed).Te signals will be picked up by teams inthe surrounding area so the pilot can berescued.

Survival Pack

Attached to the Flight Jacket is a SurvivalPack, placed in your ejection seat. TeSurvival Pack contains equipment suchas an inatable lieboat and clothing.

Te Anti-G Suit holds a medkit. Te exactitems included are subject to your nationsrequirements.
