THE GREAT IMPORTANCE OF FORESTS
Forests give food for people and animals.
Forests give life to animals, birds and insects.
They give them food to eat and a place to live in.
People like to sit under trees and enjoy the peace and beauty of the nature around.
We can relax while listening to birds’ singing.
People can observe and learn the life of animals
We can see different kinds of plants and animals in their natural habitat
Forests make an essential contribution to food security by helping to maintain the environmental
conditions needed for agricultural production. They stabilize the soil, prevent erosion, enhance the land's
capacity to store water, and moderate air and soil temperatures.
The trees protect us from the hot sun in the summer
It’s much more nicer to stay in the shade of trees on a hot sunny day.
They also provide oxygen which is necessary for us to breathe and absorb carbon dioxide.
They are the source of wood for various purposes and things like furniture, paper, doors, picture
frames…
Plants and trees give us components for medicines and cosmetics
Forests give us firewood
