The participants are picked from the auditions. The Honor Jazz Band’s participants went to Hays High on Nov. 5. Brendan Fulcher was chosen to play the trumpet. The Honor Choir and Band were held on Dec. 3 at the Fort Hays State University in Hays. In the Honor Choir were Caleb Fugleberg and Abigail Jolly. The Honor Band had the most Goodland High School students chosen with seven and three alternates. Chantel Coates was chosen in the flute section with Michaela Garrett as the first alternate. In the clarinet section was Cheyenne Stegeman. Alternate Kegan Nothdurft was chosen in the alto saxophones. On trumpets were Brendan Fulcher and J.J. Farris. Jacob Schnabel was chosen on trombone with Ace Arteaga as an alternate. In the percussion section were Jessica Klemm and Amber Smith.
