2. A gift of divine grace. 3.The gift of faith, knowledge, holiness and virtue.

4. The economy of divine grace, by which the pardon of sin and eternal salvation is appointed to sinners in consideration of the merits of Christ laid hold of by faith.

5. Grace or gifts denoting extraordinary powers, distinguishing certain Christians and enabling them to serve the church of Christ, the reception of which is due to the power of divine

grace operating on their souls by the Holy Spirit.

Hebrew = chokmah = skill (in war), wisdom (in administration),

shrewdness, prudence (in religious affairs).

Greek = Sophia = wisdom, broad and full of intelligence; used of the knowledge of very diverse matters.

Supreme intelligence, such as belongs to God: in Christ

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom

Definition? the revealing of the prophetic future under the anointing of God. It’s not a total

revelation but a word. the God given ability to see a situation or problem or

opportunity and then have the ability to do it/solve it/get through it. It’s the “how to” of God.

ConclusionThe Word of Wisdom comes through the Holy Spirit with power,

revelation and direction.

We operate in it by faith and we receive it by faith.

It is given to exhort, encourage, equip and direct and shows us the way to go.

It is given to anyone who will be used by God who is willing to be a vessel.

It is given to grow the Kingdom of God personally and corporately.
