On behalf of the Florida Diversity Council, we would like to welcome you to the Fifth Annual Florida Veterans Summit. It is our honor to cordially invite each of you to attend this Summit in hopes of learning more about organizational best practices that support our nation’s veterans. Our goal with this event is to help inform and create dialogue about matters that pertain to educating, recruiting, and employing veterans in the professional sphere.
This event will be comprised of a heartfelt welcome, a keynote address, breakout workshops, executive panel session, and other veteran discussions. These subject matter experts will share their unique views and experiences throughout the program. As a multitude of veterans are separating from the military, and this creates a remarkable opportunity for educators, recruiters, and businesses throughout the state. We want attendees to have the opportunity to gain a more universal understanding of the issues that impact veterans and how organizations can assist with these transitional efforts.
We appreciate you taking the time to support our fifth annual event. We are thankful for your attendance and wish to extend a special thank you to our event sponsors for their amazing support in this year’s summit!
In addition to the event sponsors, we would also like to thank our corporate partners, speakers, volunteers, staff, and local members whose support has been influential in organizing the 2016 Florida Veterans Summit. Thank you. Sincerely,

Welcome from the National Diversity Council
Dennis KennedyFounder, National Diversity Council
Angeles ValencianoCEO, National Diversity Council
It is our honor as Chair and CEO of the National Diversity Council to personally welcome you to the 5th Annual Florida Veterans Summit. In today’s global society, the importance of diversity is becoming even more apparent. Association between different cultural segments, organizations, and industries are crucial to form a strong, cohesive community. With thousands of veterans returning home, there is a strong need for corporations to create new jobs for these military men and women. Our communities are working harder than over before to create resources in assisting these veterans with their adjustment back into the civilian workforce.
This year’s Summit features a keynote address, along with workshops and an executive panel discussing topics relating to best practices in catering to the veteran community. The topics were chosen to provide all attendees with valuable insights that will benefit their professional growth. We hope that all representatives will leave with a better understanding of the many assets that individuals as well as organizations can gain in working with and hiring veterans. There are many benefits of having these honorable members of society as members of corporate teams.
The National Diversity Council started the Summit because there is a strong need for dialogue and diversity programs that relate to the Veteran community. Thank you for joining the Florida Diversity Council in addressing this need by participating in our 5th Annual Florida Veterans Summit. I hope you will join us in facilitating the development of a truly open society, where exchange of ideas is unrestricted and everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
Sincerely,
