Function of the network in the CAP

• Significant role because it can collect comprehensive the rural

actors, organizations and administrations.

• NRNs bring together a variety of rural stakeholders to promote

communication and information exchange at regional, national

and European level.

• In the run up to the communication the European Commissioner

for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dacian Cioloş, has

launched a public debate on the future of the CAP, inviting all

interested EU citizens and organisations to participate.

• NRNs had to collect the opinions of the interested citizens. Each

country organised the public debate.

Page 25: The European Network for Rural Development Hungarian Rural Development Network Katalin Kujáni SZIU – Gödöllő – 28th June 2010.

Future

• Now NRNs’ function is facilitating and promoting inter-territorial

and trans-national cooperation in relation to the delivery of Axes 3

and 4. The network must have the capacity to develop the co-

operation principle, provide regulatory advice and offer

appropriate mentoring• During the EU debate about the CAP the NRN’s represent the their

own opinions.
