One day, a long time ago a little puppy was born.
This puppy didn’t know it yet, but he was special. He would be unlike any other dog.
Why you ask? Because he is the dog that doesn’t know he’s a dog.
His name is Thai.
Thai does things that other dogs may not do.
Thai tells time. Every night, right on the nose, at 7:00pm, he’ll bark because it’s time for his daily treat.
When we sit down as a family to eat dinner around the table, Thai likes to join us by sitting at the table.
Thai loves human food, his favorite is peanut butter.
Don’t be surprised when I
tell you, he even has his own ice cream.
If he gets really excited, he’ll bring you his chicken. Even though his chicken is the most disgusting toy, it is by far his favorite.
When it’s time to go ‘night-night,’ Thai gets to go to sleep on the ‘big bed.’ He even gets his own pillow and blanket.
And when it’s time to go ‘night-night,’ Thai likes to be
wrapped up in his blanket. He then covers his face so he
doesn’t get cold.
Most nights, in the middle of the night, he will wake me up so he can get a mid-night snack and a drink of water.
Unlike most dogs, Thai goes by many names: Baby Boo, Boo Boos, Babycakes, and Sugar Bear. And yes, he answers to all five of his
names.
Now, some might say that Thai has bad manners or that he’s spoiled, but I say, he’s just simply, the dog that doesn’t know he’s a
dog.
