It was plastered with tags ' and cards until the dollar could not breath for want of air. Yesterday afternoon it was report- ed at the Golden Rule store. After the collapse this afternoon, the talking dollar was taken to Wilk- inson & Co's. drug store for treat- ment and is now in one of the show windows there on exhibition, it will likely not be put into circulation again, but kept as a souvenir. All Kinds of Tags. There are all kinds of tags hanging on the dollar. There are many tags which are not registered upon the main tag, showing that the dollar passed through more than the 95 hands registered. There is a St. Patrick's day souvenir card, a calendar, a big piece of har- ness leather and a meal ticket fas- tened to the dollar. Some of the tags are interesting. Cne tag states that a certain man brought the dollar into a saloon and bought a glass of beer and a brown soda for it. Another tag says: If this dollar Rets off the track, give it a kick and send it back. Another tag reads: Sugar Lip, the millionaire tramp, . # tf -% Tomorrow's Special items for immediate sale, and your approval will be our LINES of (not five or ten hats, but 50 to 100 hats in each lot-no two alike) at $7.50 arid $5.00 each-one lot of a kind and values 25 per cent less than customary prices of millinery as generally offered. & A" restau-; Omstead of Pennsylvania, was called rant at No. 622 Main street.

It was plastered with tags ' and cards until the dollar could not breath for want of air.

Yesterday afternoon it was reported at the Golden Rule store. Since then, it went into the following hands, according to the registration on it:

A. Anderson (second time}. Leary Weisman Co. (third time.) George W. Immegart. City drug store. E. W. Karr. ' h John Finigan's Sons. * \ * '• * C. & A. restaurant • ' •' H. C. Weismann - \ • C. J. Carr. Ette & Prasse. Keokuk Truth. W. E. Strimback Prank E. Reynolds. ' C. H. Wolfe. L. Hume. _ _ . . ft « , ^ C. & A. restaurant (second time). After the collapse this afternoon,

the talking dollar was taken to Wilkinson & Co's. drug store for treatment and is now in one of the show windows there on exhibition, it will likely not be put into circulation again, but kept as a souvenir.

All Kinds of Tags. There are all kinds of tags hanging

on the dollar. There are many tags which are not registered upon the main tag, showing that the dollar passed through more than the 95 hands registered.

There is a St. Patrick's day souvenir card, a calendar, a big piece of harness leather and a meal ticket fastened to the dollar.

Into One Hundred Hands. From Monday morning until this

afternoon, this one lonely silver dollar passed through one hundred hands. This shows just how much good money spent at home will do. If every dollar spent at home goes through one hundred hands in five days, just think what ten thousand dollars would do.

The talking dollar proved to be a great success and would probably have circulated all over town within s few days. It may be started out again next week *
